File rename?

A topic by noise1 created Jun 21, 2021 Views: 230 Replies: 5

Is there a setting to keep the original filenames (or at least a version of them)?

For example, if I have a few dozen differently-named files, it drops the converted ones into folders with those names - but names all of the files the same, so I have to rename every single one by hand.

Is there an easy way around this? I'd like to have something like "filename_60" or "filename_120."

Hi there, I don't really understand what you require. You want a prefix before every png export?

No, I just want the video file conversions to keep their original names.

If I put ten different files in, they get dropped into folders - but each is given the same file name, so I can't just drop them back into a folder together without having to manually rename them to their original names.

Ah, I see. I will see what I can do to fix this.

Thanks!

To add to this, if you can eventually add a filename template that would be great, at least for the major settings.

For example (taking 3 parameters out of many):

* = original filename

$MP4Q = MP4 encoding quality

$OUT = Output FPS

With the result of = *_$MP4Q_$OUT will generate "<original filename>_23_100_noaudio.mp4" and "<original filename>_23_100_audio.mp4"

Fantastic program! Thank you for your amazing effort.
