This is just a first impression, so take all this with that in mind. I also understand that this is a very early build of the game, things may be unpolished or lack the final implementation that you have in your vision for this game. The visuals, effects and music are absolutely gorgeous, you've obviously got some talented modelers and environment designers on your team. The music is beautiful but seems very static, it lacks any impact to what is happening situationally save for filling a void of silence. The camera and controls aren't great, the character feels very floaty and imprecise. While the levels feel pretty forgiving and the air control is nice, pairing this with a generally fixed camera leaves me with a feeling of a lack of control while also never really feeling in danger of falling. Finally, the combat lacks any weight whatsoever. Swapping between powers with numerical keys, firing with the mouse and trying to avoid damage all at once feels like trying to change two diapers at once with one hand while doing nothing with the other. Almost as if it was attempting to merge both third person shooter elements with cooldown based powers found in many rpgs in a way that doesn't seem fleshed out. I can see this being a great game when the movement, camera and combat are tuned a bit better or differently, but right now it feels clumsy, imprecise and unsatisfying.
Again, I am in no way trying to shit on this game, in which I can see a lot of love and time has been given, this is simply my first impression as a player and potential backer as what is meant to be constructive feedback. Thanks for your time in reading this and I look forward to following the development of Neorj.
