Okay, so I seem to be having this bug. I'm aware that it's in known issues, but here's the thing. It wasn't doing it until I put the game into full screen mode. After that, it started giving me the error for some reason. My question is this, is there a way to reset the options entirely? I've tried uninstalling the game, deleting the folder in the itch apps folder but it still saves the full screen setting. Am I missing a save area somewhere hidden in like app data or something?

Windows 10, PC, BTW. And not an onboard graphics card either.

If you're not using onboard graphics, you may just have to update your video card driver. If you want to reset your settings, the file is in %UserProfile%/.prefs/My Preferences/tales-of-androgyny-preferences - open that file in a text editor and set the fullScreen attribute to false.

Did that. Driver is up to date. That was one of the first things I tried when the reinstall didn't work.
