Hello! I'm a  solo indie developer. I started this project 4 months ago but nobody saw it so far. I would like to share the progress with you and i hope some of you will give me feedback. I will try to update this devlog every week!

This game is about you, stuck in a strange room where you have to solve all kinds of special puzzles to get out.  If you are interested i will make short video touring the room. :)

Modelling is 60-70% Done. Programming is around 50% i guess but who knows? :D

Hello everybody, no replies. :) Never mind!

So this week i was working on modelling and texturing books. Gave me some trouble but i think it turned out okay. Books mostly will be just decoration. What do you think?

And finally it looks like this in the game. Do you think it looks natural? Or is it weird? It would be great to get some feedback! See you next week!

Your game has a nice The Room vibe to it. :)

Owning quite a few bookcases myself, I would recommend adding some book-ends and artifacts to some of the shelves -- especially the empty ones. Although most people stack books as you already have shown, sometimes you'll see books stacked on their sides going vertically or propped up with the cover of the book facing the viewer.

The curved middle board is a little confusing. It looks like a desk of sorts, but there's no visible chair to sit in or other things you would expect to find at a desk, like scattered pieces of paper and various writing utensils.  If this is mean to be strictly a bookcase, I would get rid of the curved, desk-like portion and just make it all more like a bookcase.

The close-up models of the books look really good, especially the ones that look a bit worn.

Wow! Thank you! This is exactly what i was waiting for!

I will work on diplaying the books with the props you described. Unfortunately i don't have a bookcase. :(

It will be a sort of desk but i just started creating the assets for it. There will be some special puzzles on it. But thanks for pointing that out!

Hi Everybody,

This week i was working on a chess table which will be part of the puzzles. I also made some chemistry glassware for the book case. I also prepared a wall for a task. Just a bunch of clocks. :) Not finished it completely. And i duplicated the number lock and made a similar one with letters. If you have time give me some feedback. Thanks for watching and see you next week!
