Found your game via Steam as an announcement:

I know for now the only option to purchase is itch.io, but I do not know this platform and have had enough experiences with non-mainstream providers to make it a policy to never spend money on those.
Still I would like to support you so please let me know once it is clear if or when a preorder via Steam will be available.

We will release the game on Steam once the development is over, so that should be December or early 2022.
As for buying games on itch (or other non-Steam platforms) I understand you perfectly, but know that itch is quite reliable actually. And also, you help the developers more by buying your games elsewhere that Steam (because of the huge 30% they are taking on every sale).

I know about the ridiculous 30% fee on steam. It is downright robbery.
I had started to avoid steam tbh but I got burnt several times for trying to go with direct purchases and support and eventually moved back to it (part of it was of course the kickstarter craze with products just never materializing).
So now I have resigned myself to just hoping that rising pressure from epic, gog and the recent move from microsoft to reduce fees will get steam to follow suit and stop robbing developers like that.
