There's been quite a few questions over the course of this game's development, I'll try to knock 'em out and keep track of the most common ones here!

  • I got to the end of Day [x] and it already ended! Where's the rest of the game?

As stated in the game's description, this game is very much in active development and will be for a while to come! The game's main plot is nowhere near finished, as of writing, but it is continually added onto with monthly updates. It's a little surprising how often this question gets asked...

  • How often does the game update?

Once a month, usually. Ocassionally I may take a month off to work on KT's backend or similar commitments, but I will give notice via devlogs beforehand and provide a schedule for when to expect the next update!

  • I just picked up the game again after a break (or switched to a different device), but it's gonna take so long to get caught up again!

Don't worry! There's a system in place now that'll fast-track you through the game's content and get you pretty close to where you left off. Simply start up a new game (if you're on a fresh installation, progress to the point where the pause button shows up, then start a new game again),  and you'll be asked progressively if you want to skip past certain points in the game's story. Use this interface to get yourself as close as you can to where you last were, and you'll enter that point in the story with default equipment, stats, and personality, as well as a choice in romance partner, if applicable.

  • (PC ONLY) I'm moving to a different computer and I want to keep my save files, where are they located?

Inside your %APPDATA% folder, which can be accessed through the Run program. Copy the old ones and place them in the same folder location on your new computer, and you should be good to go. Additionally, old versions of the game are safe to delete, you only need the latest version to play the game.

  • Are there going to be dateable characters?

Yes! Currently (as of 4/10/2024), there's two characters you can earn affection with, with more that are planned to be added as the story continues. Each will have generally the same amount of time commitment, writing, and assets put towards as all the others. Additionally, choosing a partner (or not choosing a partner) will never lock you out of the main story's content. All characters in the game's banner (minus Taavi) will be romanceable.

  • How does romancing dateable characters work?

When the time comes (if your affection with that character is high enough), you'll be given an option for whether or not to pursue them. This will put you in essentially a trial period with them, where you'll receive some dialogue differences and an additional slightly-more-than-platonic situation or two. At a later point (usually after a few in-game days), you'll have the option to choose again whether or not to commit to them, making this the lock-in point. If you choose to commit, you'll have a relationship with that character over the rest of the story. If you choose not to commit, you'll leave your options open for other dateable characters that come along and for commitment-less situations.

  • Will there be a polyamorous/multiple romance partner route?

Short answer: No. Long answer: It'd take way too much extra time and writing to account for an entire additional route that involves multiple romance partners at once. While Killigan is single, there will be situations where he can engage in sexual encounters with 2 or more characters (not in the main cast), but a dedicated polyamorous romance route is not planned at this time.

  • I  don't like the QTE's, can I play without them?

Yep! There's options to disable QTEs (or just the rapid-tap ones) entirely in the settings. When QTEs are off, the game will roll the dice as to whether Killigan succeeds or not in place of a QTE, with there being a higher chance of succeeding the higher the appropriate stat is. This system is...flawed however, and will be addressed in an upcoming backend overhaul soon.

  • How do I obtain [x]? What do I have to do to sleep with [y]?

Seek out the help/problem-solving thread! Others may help guide you towards the right steps to take!

  • Is there a Discord?

Yeah! If you've played the game at least once, you should be able to find it pretty fast.

  • Is there somewhere I can support development?

Of course! You can support through the game's Patreon, which has some great discord benefits like seeing new assets to be added, input on adult-oriented scenes...oh, and access to patron builds, which are released a month before public builds!
