Hello everyone, we are a small group of 4 students who are currently working on a 2-player game project called ANGY. If you haven't played our game yet, you can check it out here: https://hap.itch.io/angy

Week 1-9:

I want to thank the people here for all the feedback we've received so far, it really helps us decide what to prioritize moving forward with the development. The game has been in 9 weeks of active development as I make this post, and we are continuing to work actively on the project for at least 9 more weeks before we decide the fate of the project. It's been a great learning experience for us, and we have had a lot of fun developing and playing the game.

Our work so far has mainly been to create a minimum viable product, a lot of game logic and bug fixing, but also visuals to make the game more pretty! We also spend some time juicing it up, such as particles, and adding a little pause before the lemming hits the mushroom to create a greater impact feel. And the cell fracturing of the mushroom mesh.

But enough of that, what I'm curious about is what we should continue doing going forward. Cause there is a lot that can be improved!

Things we might do during the next few months:

  • Online Multiplayer (P2P)
  • Short story introduction
  • Interactive tutorial (linked with the story intro)
  • More map interactions, both beneficial and harmful (such as the teleporter, or hammer we have)
  • More maps!
  • More abilities!
  • 4 player support
  • UI rework

I'd love to hear what you think of our current ideas and what you think we can improve on to make a great game.
