Any plans on porting SD: TEHO to Maelstrom engine?

I kinda god tired of COAS, and would like to try the SD: TEHO storyline quest. On my laptop, I can run better games that are ported for Maelstrom than SD: TEHO which is newer game, but I guess it still utilizes DirectX 8 and I can see noticable difference in performance.  If it could be ported to Maelstrom, it could work much smoother on lower spec hardware.

No, I am sure the TEHO developers would not agree to us distributing a Maelstrom-compatible mod of their game.

That's bad. I compared Eras with SD:TEHO and Eras II runs better on my dual core laptop with Malestrom than SD:TEHO with native engine, even though Eras is much heavier mod than SD...

Actually, I asked about that on TEHO developers forums and got their answer.

TEHO became an opensource project (a few weeks ago they released beta version 1.7.3 with open scripts). Not in clear language but as I got their position, they are not against your team be porting TEHO to Maelstrom.
