Abrupt loss of fire on the ship

When a ship is set on fire, the flame does not burn for long and then abruptly disappears along with the smoke.

Can I fix this?

Yeah me too

The time for fire duration is set by the scripts.  Find the SHIP_ACTIVATE_FIRE_PLACE messages and increase the fTotalFireTime sent to the engine.

The problem here is not in time but in the fact that once fire time is over, flame and smoke is getting canceled instantly instead of putting down the effects smoothly.

@VVV101 Understood.  I see the problem now and the fix will be in the next Maelstrom update.
