Topdown Zelda-Metroidvania Unity Game
[Rev Share] Looking for Unity developer
THE PROJECT: We are a team of 2 (Designer/Artist and Musician) looking for a Unity developer to replace our dev leaving our team. Project is close to releasable MVP state, with artwork, animation, music and level design in tickets ready for implementation. We’re looking for someone to help finish it. Original Dev is available for questions. This project is remote but you will need to be able to collaborate during GMT+0 as we are based in London UK. The foundation of the engine was created following Mr Taft's Creates Zelda tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4vbr3u7UKWp0iM1WIfRjCDTI03u43Zfu Estimated project development duration is 1-3 months for a ITCH/Steam publishable MVP. Scope for a larger/commercial game has been ticketed out and is available if you enjoy working on the project.
THE GAME: The player must solve puzzles and navigate through a dangerous maze with a thick atmospheric and unique NPC characters. Gameplay intends to combine the 2D Zelda's dungeon exploration with metroidvania gating and interconnectivity. Abilities are gained through exploring and activated by button combinations to minimise time spent with item management in menus. Along the way, you’ll meet a small cast of visually distinct, colourful and memorable characters with which to talk, trade and fight!
