
Pockets of Time is an idea that has been cooking inside my head for probably much longer than I can remember. Starting in January 2021 I finally decided to act on those ideas and start realizing my dream. To make a game.
Now, making a game is fairly easy from what I have seen and learnt so far. But making a good game is an entirely different thing, and that is what I want to make.
A month ago I had zero knowledge in coding and very basic understanding of illustration and art, and thanks to this project my skills in those fields have improved significantly ( Disclaimer: I am not good yet )
Having been heavily influenced by games like Hollow Knight, Ori and the Blind Forest and Shovel Knight, I decided to take my project in a similar direction as those gems above.
Pockets of Time is intended to be a light metroidvania 2d platformer with heavy focus on challenging but ultimately rewarding platforming segments and extensive lore and exploration, including dialogue with NPCs. My top priority is to make the character control as tight and responsive as humanly possible, and see that everything else falls into place after that fact.
