I need help loading a save. When in-game I don't know if I'm saving when i click (ctrl+s). Nothing happens and it just moves the camera view back. If it is saving then when I start up the game and click load nothing happens except for the quit and bottom left and right icons disappear.

When saving, it should appear a "Game saved" text in the middle of the screen. Are you using Windows? If you can't find a way to make it save, send us an email at avrgames@outlook.com and we will try to help you.
