Adolfish is an old style 2D platform, inspired by games like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, for their environments, their gameplay where even death is a fun part of the game. It's a die and retry game, without checkpoint!

Here is the player, wearing the Athlete costume:

The goal of the game is trying to catch the blowfish, your food. But it's not as simple as it seems!

There are 6 worlds now, with different environment and different enemies, here an example of the second world:

There are coins to collect to unlock extra levels, there are hidden secrets, boss fights and much more!

Currently we are developing the "Obscure World", where enemies can't be seen as you have a little cone of light around you, and many other things need to be done.

It's really fun to watch and learn where to fix little collision bugs or paths not taken.
Support for the XBOX 360 controller has been added, and now we are working on the option menu.

(Italian video, we are asking youtubers to help us play the game to see how they solve the levels)

Do you think a checkpoint system can help? Maybe used as a help when the player dies too many times.
