Really strong vibes in this one and just turning dials on a radio is a surprisingly fun mechanic. Also the fact that there's a kind of subtle choice system is very cool. I did kind of figure out some dial setting that meant I didn't really have to mess with the second two dials any more so that made it a little too easy for me

Very spooky and unnerving vibes. Kind of made me expect the gameplay to be a lot more stressful than it actually was. (I did get stuck on the main menu for a bit because I expected the confirm button to be e or space)

The presentation is amazing in this one. Love that you even added some cool shaders to spice up the interface as well. I somehow managed to finish the game on the second day as well despite not really knowing what I was doing lol

Great game. You really managed to create a cool atmosphere even though the graphics are very simple. Mechanics are very clever as well but still easy to read thanks to the timeline on top. Also really liked how you handled the inventory system where you bound the slots to keys on the keyboard

Yea thats part of a game jam sadly :P. Happy that you managed to get a finished version out there in time

Such a clever little puzzle game with heaps of polish. Difficulty progression felt great despite being a short jam game

A simple mechanic executed well that feels great to play, the exact type of jam game I love. So satisfying to try to build up a big combo.

The presentation looks great but the gameplay could be fleshed out a bit more. I was missing a real goal to work towards and it could be a bit more challenging I feel

Wow you managed to build an entire RPG system in 48 hours. Really like the idea of a really fast paced rpg game and the presentation is excellent. It didn't really feel all that fun to me yet but I think with a little bit of rebalancing and making the encounters faster it could potentially be very fun.

Congrats on finishing your first jam! The mechanic of finding the item that matches the description was fun so I really think it could turn into a really fun full game if you keep iterating on that idea a bit more

Congrats on finishing your first game jam! I feel like there's still something missing before it really starts to feel fun but that's honestly one of the most difficult things about designing games. I'd try to find more ways to challenge the player than just dodging the flying ghosts

I was missing something that ramps up the difficulty but otherwise I thought the main game mechanics of swapping the colours was fun. Would be interesting to see a more difficult version of this game

Sad to see you ran out of time. Hope your learned a lot and had fun

I was missing some mechanics to set it a bit more apart from a regular typing game. The spaceship that sometimes drops off an alien was a fun mechanic, would've loved to see some more stuff similar to that. (also the sound effects were pretty loud)

Didn't really understand what the goal of the game was and there didn't really seem to be a failure state so there was no pressure to collect resources. Hope you learned a lot and had fun jamming!

Haha thanks for playing and the lovely image

I like the concept of only being able to experience a world through a command line interface and the aesthetics really work in this regard. I do feel like there's something missing here before it really starts to feel fun. Maybe there's some interesting mechanics if you take a bit more inspiration from real terminals like adding arguments to repeat commands or piping the output of one command into another.

Read the itch page and it seems like its still unfinished. Glad to see you learned a lot and hopefully you had a lot of fun as well. Still great to see you've managed to submit in time for the deadline so I always call that a massive success

Not really my cup of tea since I'm usually looking for a more gameplay focussed experience from a video game. Would've liked to see a bit more gameplay if you're going for something more story based. Retro style seems very well executed and I didn't really run into any technical problems

Love a simple concept that executed in a really nice and polished way. Really impressed you managed to make so many levels in such a short time

Seems very well made but I'm kind of missing the crossing of words that you get in a regular crossword. I'm not the best at them normally and really need some existing letters to find the words usually.

oooo this one is so much fun. Managed to get to the 9th day. I really like how you have to strategise in what order to buy upgrades and how to spend your day. Can't really think of any negatives to be honest ;)

Really like how you integrated the theme with the gameplay mechanics and the basic loop feels fun to me. Presentation feels really polished and fitting. Can be a bit punishing and tedious when you have to wait around for the goat because you have to restart from the beginning. (there was a graphical issue with the game on firefox, luckily playing on chrome works perfectly as a workaround)

Such a great little puzzle game that uses the prerequisite in a creative way! The music really fits the theme really great as well. Only feedback is that is could be a little tedious sometimes because of the slow walk speed

Wow the gameplay really clicked for me once I started using WASD and the arrow keys at the same time, theres just something really satisfying about it. Managed to get a high score of 56

Our concept is that you (the evil villain) built this impenetrable maze but you get really lonely because nobody ever manages to break in. So the game is you trying so help them break in so you have some company ;)

Didn't work for me in firefox so played it in chrome. Interesting concept, I liked that you added little pebbles and stuff to the map so you have some clues on where to go. Also why did they leave a pizza at her grave :P

Impressed you managed to make such good feeling platforming mechanics in such a short time! Presentation and polish feel really solid and you even added a quack button. Only criticism for me is that the levels get too punishing too fast, would've been nice if the difficulty eased you into the harder stuff a bit smoother. QUACK (for other reviewers who get stuck: remember to look at the page description for how to get past the platform you have to fall through)

Haha the intro sound effects are so good. Didn't manage to find more people once I got 3 sadly. Didn't really feel the fun factor yet but I can see it being so in the future if you explore some other ways to find people beyond just wandering around in the dark. Anyways congrats on making it to the finish line and hope you had fun jamming.

Really love the concept, being a lighthouse keeper is a really cool interpretation of the theme and the visuals give it a cool retro look. I was a bit confused by the goal of the game and I struggled to remember the controls since the game opened in full screen (might be a bit ugly but I would've just put some buttons prompts on the screen directly). Feel like this could turn into a really cool game if you iterate a bit more on the concept.

Props for tackling such a heavy subject for a jam. Personally I would've liked to see a bit more game mechanics but I'm also not that into story games :P. Hope you had fun making it and congrats on making it to the finish line!

egg

brother the game is free

Fun fact: just before the end of the jam we had a heavily nerfed version of the drill that was very limited. 15 minutes before the jam closed we decided that we preferred the broken but more fun version so we patched it back in last minute.

Spot on with that first comment! We really wanted to go for a different (and a bit riskier) take on the theme. We had to sacrifice a lot of polish to do it but I'm still really happy we went for it. Thanks for playing!

This is amazing, no idea how you managed to make this in 4 days O.O

Such a creative twist on the genre and great execution! Felt a bit guilty turning down my music to make myself stronger😅. The only think I was a little confused about is the game going slow motion suddenly, is it maybe something to do with the speed stat?

Loved the realistic cable physics

Loved how you use the mechanic in the ending, great job!

Haha I think we had some very similar ideas when designing our jam games. Would have loved to see some more levels to get some extra feeling for the concept. Anyways big props for finishing in such a short time
