The bits on the floor are not portals, but they're stat increases which you can purchase by killing ghosts and gaining "Coins" 

Also at the start of the game it does states you can't die. - Also stated in the description :)

there is infact a corner piece..   have the full map made in blender with the corner pieces. I ran out of time though

Not to sure what to do about this, but I handed in my game on the deadline.... and it doesn't appear to be showing on the site.
