Just finished the game on steam, love it. In the past version of goertzel's lab you still have the option to exit the lab from the present lab, which will place you into the coastlandia capitol an crash the game.

This is a problem with unity and your windows installation, reinstalling the game won't help here. There's not really a way to exactly tell you where the problem is. The only thing I can advice is A) Make sure your graphic driver are up to date B) Make sure that you've installed Microsoft's Visual C++ and .NET runtimes.

I believe you can go to System Preferences --> Security & Privacy.  There should be a "Allow apps downloaded from" option you can change. It's been a while since I've last used a mac, hope this works.
