0.8.6 is the second version I've played - I don't remember what the previous version was. This version has some cool new stuff - I love the belts, and the backpacks and ship upgrades are pretty cool too but maybe need a bit more polish still.

But in some ways it's a confusing step back from the other version I played. It's no longer possible to heat the ship, and the other subsystems mostly do less than they did, too. And late in the game, every time I undock, a creature boards my ship and kills me? That's way less interesting than the slow ramp-up of spooky ship things in the older version, and it stops me playing entirely.

As a possible little bug, it seems like when I die I keep whatever health potions I was holding, instead of resetting to the potions I began the level with?

Also, it looks like the source repository is private or gone? I don't have any plans for it, just noting the dead link.

I had a weird time getting started on this game because the page layout cut off the rightmost three columns of tiles. Adjusting for a wider window made it work better.

Hello Greebles! I have been using these cards to play computer solitaire - they're four distinct colors while still being very clean and visually interesting, which I've found to be a surprisingly rare combination. I'd be happy to share back my PySolFC configuration file, if you'd like to include (or just have for your own use) a drop-in way to play with the cards.

I do want to mention a couple of technical modifications I made or am considering making to my copy:

• Most important, I added a seventh diamond to my copy of the Seven of Diamonds. In the downloadable edition, all versions of the 7D have only six pips, where the other sevens have seven.
• I'm also considering sharpening the top of the letter A on the aces, for readability in a stack. Solitaire games often pile cards very deep, which can cover the bottom half of the rank symbol, making it hard for me to tell the difference between Q, A, and 9 in this style. (Well, making me fall back to the tiny text on the border.)
