I see. I went back and was able to complete the game. Maybe these clues should have been more visible in the first scene so that the player can understand more easily.

So now I can give proper feedback. The art is truly amazing, congratulations on that! But another aspect that is in my opinion just as important for this kind of game is the story, and while yours is charming for sure, it’s maybe a bit basic. We got what was promised but not much more, I would have appreciated maybe seeing some troubles he went through or something. But hey, I know it’s hard to create anything in such a short amount of time and I still enjoyed going through the game (once I understood what to do, that is). So truly, congrats on your lovely game! =)

also I love the kissing animation, it’s adorable

Very impressive puzzle game. I’m impressed that you managed to create levels this clever in such a short amount of time. They are definitely too clever for my brain lol, I only managed to beat the 3 first ones

I think I saw the meaning of life while playing this game, I’m not sure though

I love the artwork but I don’t understand how to progress. I know I can click on things to put them in my notebook but I don’t know what to do after that. Am I supposed to put them in the right order?

This reminds me of the kind of exercise we used to do in high-school, nice

As someone who loves LoFi, this is great! If there wasn’t an end to the game this would have been the kind of thing that I could easily play for an hour without even noticing =)

Great vibes! It’s too bad there isn’t more to do, but the atmosphere is definitely there. I think this could be expanded into something really interesting.

Very cute. The gameplay is very interesting. The last level was a bit hard but I eventually managed to beat it. I think that not being able to swap place between you characters is a bit too restrictive. Maybe you could allow it but make it somehow costly to do so? idk, great game anyway

(1 edit)

Hey congrats on creating your first game =D The story is pretty sweet. I like that the “loo” based pun didn’t stop at loup but is kept throughout the game. By the way if you interact with the tent from the front of it you can get stunk by the NPC and you can’t move anymore

Looks interesting but it’s too bad that the rules aren’t explained. You can understand most of it by trying things but it’s still not very clear.

Nice concept, it makes for good puzzle. The difficulty ramps-up nicely but it doesn’t get to difficult. The visuals are also really neat, I would have liked some background music tho.

Nice game! I really enjoyed it, you would probably have more ratings is your game wasn’t almost 400MB.

The game is pretty easy from the start, but the upgrades still provides a nice progression in how powerful you are (the bouncy bullets upgrade is completely overpowered and i love it lol). Good stuff!

I like the idea, but for me the game has some balancing issues. You have too many cards that depends on each other, for example both the card that increment the iterations of a loop and the card that decrement a value are only useful if you also have the “Stack overflow” card (at least in the beginning, I didn’t unlock everything). And since the cards are discarded between each turn, you have to get them in the same turn for them to be useful. Which is a bit to dependent on luck in my opinion. This could be solved by kipping the cards between rounds, but I don’t know if it’s the right idea for you game.

Besides that, the visuals are nice and the game is fun to play nonetheless, so good job =)

Aaaah it’s so good! The concept is super simple but the execution makes it SO satisfying to play. Both the visuals and the music are awesome, and the game feels great to play. It’s just a shame that the game doesn’t track you high score.

Very clever interpretation of the theme!

Nice concept, visually very clean. Would definitely have been nice to have to have more levels, I feel like every levels was pretty easy except for the last one who is nicely difficult.

Very cute artstyle for the characters! The time limit gives the game a nice challenge, but I think it should probably pause when reading a book because that can be frustrating. I managed to finish it, had fun playing it :)

It’s a simple game, but I enjoyed playing it to the end. I like the sprite of the character and the background, but the platforms looks out of place in comparison, they also looks a bit blurry.

The car is easy too control and feels nice to drive around. Other than that, when you have enough speed some obstacle don’t slow you down at all anymore, which kinda defeat their purpose I think. I also wasn’t able to select obstacles at first but then I restarted the game without going fullscreen and it worked.

Cool game! It’s a fun arcade concept, the movements feels really nice and fluid. I think the track could use a slightly more complex layout than a simple ∞, it would probably keep you grinding for high score a bit longer. I love the dot matrix shader but the text in the menus get completely ineligible with it on, especially in the options.

I could totally see a 2 player mode where you have to avoid each other’s ghost (sorry sloopees) or something. Good job :)

Really original game, I can really tell a lot of effort went to it but I clearly didn’t understand everything. I feel like it’s quite complex for a jam game. Still, with a better tutorial I think this has potential. I also appreciate the game being entirely ASCII

Interesting mechanic. I like the idea of having to synchronize multiple ghosts of yourself.

The second level is very effective at teaching how to play, but yeah, you could probably have divided by two the amount of energy stuff required and still get the same effect.

Other than that I feel like the puzzles are well designed. Didn’t had the patience to finish the last level so I appreciate you posting a solution video so that I can see the solution.

Quite fun!

It happened quite often that I thought I made a loop but it didn’t detect it, may just be me idk.

The artwork is cute, I like the whole ink/drawing theme of the game, it’s fun.

By the way I have an azerty keyboard but I still had to select qwerty in to have the correct ZQSD bindings

I had fun, got to the last wave but I couldn’t beat it.

I feel like there are so many projectiles on screen that you can’t really avoid them, the large amount of HP you get kind-of make up for it but I would have preferred less HP and more avoidable projectiles.

I like the idea that when you pick an upgrade you have to think about which one would be the most easy to deal with in the boss battle

Nice concept! It’s fun to play and the esthetic and musics works well

It’s a neat memory exercise too :D

Really solid game all around! While death loop is a common idea for this jam, the idea of using your death to solve puzzles it a really original spin on it!

The visuals are very good, the audio is nice as well.

At first I was a bit stuck because I didn’t understand that you could go down on the room on the right with all the tables near. Besides that, the puzzles feels well designed elements are connected together is a nice logical way.

I found 3 keys so far, great job!

The voice acting is a really nice touch!

The gameplay is a bit on the basic side, but it’s always nice to pay a nice platformer. There are some (unfairly?) tricky jumps but other than that it’s nice to play.

Nice concept! It’s super simple to understand simply by looking at the screenshots. Could get a bit repetitive after some time but it’s a nice arcade game, I also like the music, good job!

It’s a simple concept but it works quite well! It’s pretty fun to run away from the little guys while being always pressured by your energy metter

Nice game! Even with some pen and paper it was really hard for map out the rooms. At some point I wanted to quit to me menu to reset the timer faster, but then I found out that the level is randomly generated each time so I essentially lost my progress :( The art style works really well to give this retro old TV effect

What a cute little game!

The art style is adorable and the gameplay is fun

Great job!

Super creative mechanic!

Love the art as well and the level design is really solid

The wall jump felt weird at first but I got used to it. I wish the beam was on SHIFT to make playing with WASD easier, controller support would also be great

Great job! :)

Love it!

Very interesting puzzle mechanic and the level design was solid

Super well polished too, love the art, great job! :)

I like the concept but I wish the gameplay was a bit more interactive, like maybe I could control the king’s attacks or give orders to the other units

But for 2 days it’s a good game, good job :)

Interesting mechanics, I like the concept of having to use the clones as distractions. The tutorial is a bit long compared to the amount of actual levels but the levels that was there was pretty good

Overall, beside the need of polish, good game!

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the game :)

I was planning to add an introduction sequence to explain everything but ran out of time

Same for the progression, but that’s only because I have a terrible sense of priority and set the price for everything at the last moment ’^^

I’ll try to rework the economy and add some sounds and musics once the jam is over

One of the most (maybe the most) original game of this jam, it’s pretty satisfying when you get the shape right.

I wish I could resize the shapes as well, but maybe that would make it to easy?

Also sometimes I got a score of 0% or -0% and think it’s a bug

It’s nothing revolutionary but it’s a neat little game :)

I don’t know if the weapon staying in place is international but i like it as a game mechanic

Good job, especially if it’s your first game, keep improving :)

Love the game! Great art style and really interesting puzzle mechanic, super well polished

Genuinely one of my favorite game of the jam

I can easily see this be a complete game if you expand on the concept!

I like the concept, it’s really fun!

I feel like the fish that wants to kill you is way to hard to avoid tho, but otherwise good job :)
