What updates have you made? You shouldn't be updating during the rating period as per the rules. :)

I'm gonna ban you three from working together again in future - the combination is too powerful!!

Such a solid entry. Great art and animations, smooth gameplay, fantastic audio... what more can I say! I personally found the first point of plant defence - the spinning "pea shooter" type a little tricky to use, but that's definitely on me and not the game itself. Also, I didn't make it to the leaderboard as I kept hovering over enemies to read descriptions, forgetting to defend my plant.

Great as always - thanks for jamming with us again!

Oh my goodness, this is such a good entry and really really funny! The sudden chaos of the baby bunnies is insane. Everything about this entry feels polished. I do hate that you made me essentially put a bunny in a shredder :( the "OH NO" I shouted when it happened... I need to go pet my dog now. Great choice of music and sfx. Animations were great. Loved the cutness of the bunnies - even the ones that ended up with non-desirable traits. Great game!!!

Another absolute banger of an entry from Maud and Frits!! Tower Defence games are my kryptonite. I'm literally ignoring customers' messages to me to play your game more. The art style is fantastic, really well chosen music and sfx, I didn't encounter any ~gaming~ bugs (hehehe). Just a really incredible entry. Well done guys and thanks for jamming with us again!

People don’t see individual ratings at the end no, just an overall score.

For the scoring system - how much you like the game is only one part. You can dislike a game but still appreciate it has good art/music or fits the theme of the jam well. The scoring system is nuanced!

Please remember to leave feedback when rating games, remember to be kind and positive if you’re leaving some constructive criticism too. Feedback is what really helps people learn and improve. :)

Fun game and really great submission for a solo jammer! Yellow slime is definitely the fastest. Trust me. Music is fab!

yes, people who join and submit to the jam then rate and vote each others games.

No, just one submission per participant. Games must be made during the jam time period, you can’t submit pre-made games. I don’t know how many games someone can make in 48 hours, one is hard enough!

Hi guys! I've asked Craftpix to clarify this, and this is their response.

"CraftPix does not use AI to create assets. Since 2016, our library has been built by artists from our internal team (most of them) + some hired artists + some assets were purchased from real artists (meaning they were previously published, and we simply bought the rights to distribute them under our license)."

yep!

yes, but remember this is supposed to be a 2D jam so people may not rate your game as highly if everything is 3D.

Hi there.

Yes you can  - but be aware you need to submit a playable via itch.io, and you may not get many plays/ratings if it's difficult to find and play your game. You would also have to explicitly state that you made the game using roblox, and any/all assets used from roblox including characters, shapes and sounds etc.

Love the idea of making a game a day - that sounds like a crazy workload! Fun concept of the game, especially made in such little time. Thanks for jamming with us :)

Took a little trial & error to work out the game play. Didn't always work so had to refresh once or twice too. Such is the game jam life!

However - once it worked and I got the hang of it, a fun and interesting concept and game play. I really liked the art style and the lighting of the scene. Audio worked well to support the ambience & I'm a big fan of the dogs bark.. sounds familiar almost..

Would love to see this again post-jam if you worked on it more. Maybe add a little tutorial, a video of how to play or whatever.

Good entry! Thanks for jamming with us :)

Absolute king of analogue horror. Despite you assuring me there were no jump scares, my heart rate was up, and I was tense enough that I didn't quite believe you! Really well done, perfect atmosphere. Damn Shadow, you scary!

Another banger of an entry from Maud, Frits & co. Really amazing ambience and vibe for a game jam game! I was really sucked in. The art style is wonderful, game play was smooth & I think you found up some good audio to work with your entry.

Really enjoyed this!

Thanks for jamming with us again :)

Cute game and lovely visuals! Props to your artists, I can see their style developing and getting better every jam. :)

Fun game, ran smoothly and didn't find any bugs which is always a bonus right?!

Could be a little confusing at times to work out what combinations were for what request, and not too sure where doppelganger comes in - but a very solid well rounded game all in all!

Thanks for jamming with us again :)

Fun and cute game! You're right - it does feel cosy. :) Again I had a little difficulty with the watering but it wasn't bad enough to make me enjoy less, just always worth a mention of something struggled with!

I think you chose good audio for your game too. :)

Well done on making this in 48 hours! And thanks for joining our jam. :)

This is very cute!! I like your take on the theme. It reminds me a little of Nintendogs where you could wash and groom your dogs. :)

I like that we can pet the dog!! And love that you used physical drawings and implemented them in the game - so creative. :)

Thanks for joining our jam.

I saw this was your first jam? Well done for making & submitting a game in 48 hours! We hope you had fun. :)

I agree with lots of the feedback here - but i think you've a really solid and fun foundation to work on further if you wanted to! I'd be excited to see any updates.

Thanks for jamming with us :)

The nails are overgrown!! That's why you're scratching them down. Dogs nails being too long is bad for their foot health!

I love this take on the theme!! Really out of the box thinking there - congratulations. I think it fits overgrown perfectly. :)

Quite simple - but well made! i liked the visual of the nails shrinking. Easy to use controls and good explanation of how to play.

Thanks for jamming with us :)

This is fantastic. The scream I scrumpt when my own wheat had the audacity to fight me... how dare it. Really cool mechanics and I really liked the sort of jump scare of realising WHY I needed the ability to shove etc.

As others have mentioned - I'd love the option to be able to see how many plants I have harvested somewhere on screen - as I found myself going back and just spam clicking customers faces til I ran out.

Artwork is super cute and the music fits really well. This honestly could be a spooky jam entry AS WELL as a spring one!

Thanks for jamming with us again :)

Fun game play :) And thank you for listing your AI use! Not everyone always admits to using it.

I thought the music and sounds you chose fit well for your game and you get the feel of spring in there for sure!

Thanks for joining our jam :)

Oh this is lovely!! Absolutely my type of art style, sooo cute. This feels such a unique game for this jam. :)

I really liked the gameplay. I do think that the "turning circle" of the bee could be a little unforgiving at times, and my clicks were not 100% registered - but that's fine!! I learned as I progressed. :)

I'd like to be able to get rid of some weeds somehow. Maybe you can buy weed killer with the honey you collect or something and make it timed rounds? Just a quick thought!

Great job on this - and thanks for joining our jam!!

Congrats on a complete game as a solo dev! :) Well done you. Going for a simple idea but making it well has really pulled off for you! Movement feels good, difficulty feels balanced - great job :)

thanks for joining our jam

Cool game guys! I really dig the artwork on this one. :) Really like you using the theme for an endless runner too. I think you really applied the overgrown aspect well!

As others have commented - the timer can feel a little long, especially in the first few attempts when you're finding your feet and a count down is longer than a run.

If you worked on this further, I'd love to see the ability to perhaps upgrade your tool, or perhaps buy a "life" so you can take a hit and continue etc. Maybe earn points per second?? Just an idea. :)

Great entry - and thanks again for jamming with us ya'll! <3

Thank you so much! That's so kind of you. :) Thanks for jamming with us!!

Aww thank you! We've had many jam/hosting combos worth of practise!

Thanks for your lovely words and thanks for jamming with us :)

Thank you :)

maybe post rating period we add in the famous bear towers...

Thank you!!

We tried to make it not too easy, otherwise the game would be over quite quick! Bears aren't too dexterous...

You're right though! We had practise from testing haha.

Thank you so much :)

Thank you so much! Cozy gaming is a lifestyle choice that I abide by so that's a big compliment!

Thank you so much! It was quite an undertaking.. but I've definitely done more assets before. The hardest is always the walking cycles as I've no idea how to animate so I just draw every frame hahaha.

Thanks for your kind words :)

Common Agent Jo W, this is incredible! As per usual how much you have achieved as a solo dev is something to admire and behold. Well done Jo!

I really loved your poem at the start - you're right, it did lure me in! The game was fun to play and really did get me thinking to try not only to do it fast but also use some bigger or more unique words.

One thing I would love is if there was the option to see the story so far on a scroller or something to the side - sometimes I found myself forgetting what the previous sentence had said or hadn't read it properly before I had moved on. (too eager to play the game!!) so I'd love the option to give the story some more of the attention it deserved.

Absolutely great work, and I'll play again to try beat my score after rating some others!

Well done Jo!! :)

Aww - thank you so much Jo! That's really nice of you to say. :)

We had a real fun time making this one, and I'm definitely getting more comfortable in my art style as I do more jams. We were going to add some stretch goals of enemies or more games.. but 3 plus platforming is quite a lot!

Thanks again, and thanks for jamming with us! :) <3

Thank you so much! We tried to make it a little more fun than usual :)

Thank you so much!! I do too :)
