The style is awesome!
like others said the pacing of the tasks could use some tweaking.
Additionally, A quality of life update should be when the text loading is animating in, ; it should reveal itself fully whenever you hit the button. As some people read fast and waiting for it to come in took longer than expected.
Overall I think this was a brilliant idea that just needed a few more playtests before launch.
This could be expanded upon with more characters, and scenes as well. The world building would be fun here!
Great work.

Great entry
Some first impressions feedback:
The initial leveling was a bit jarring. It seemed like every couple of seconds the game would pause to give me a new powerup. Which is fine, but I wanted to play a little longer before stopping. A solution would be have the powerups come later, or an area to buy powerups so that the player isn't stopping every few seconds to select a new one instead of playing. The later levels seem to be a sweet spot. imo
There's also a depth sorting issue with the main statue. You walk over on top of it instead of behind.
Overall this is a great entry. I really like how you captured vampire survivors feel!
Keep up the great work!
Rate / play my game too! (if you haven't already) .
Goodluck!
No worries!
Just a progress bar to show the next destination if there is one.
Conversely with your goal of no ui. There could be a sensor on the truck that detects a "safe zone" to rearrange some elements on the truck without the zombies coming.
It was really great overally, I really like the lore as well.
LOVE the art
unique concept.
Some feedback.
I wasn't sure what the companion did. until later.
or what the ui elements represented until I pressed them.
Maybe have a symbol or words that tell what the top bar is, and the bottom right bar is.
It was fun, and a quirky setting.
give my game a rating if you can!
Good luck!
Hey this is a great game!
Some feedback would be the middle section with the spikes was a bit dicy for me. Perhaps the checkpoint could be after I pass through the first spike. Also I thought the bouncy thing was a new planet. I didn't get to the end but if you don't have it already have an area where there a few planets / moons and you are using their gravity to reach the next platform .
Additionally, coloring the tiles differnet colors as you get closer to the sun would look cool. Like a venus section, mars, earth, etc...
I loved the gameplay.
I do everything code , art , music , animation . 😅
I have supporting software that helps me save time like Moho for animation or affinity for design stuff .
I switched because I was looking into long term cost , and the Unity fiasco that happened confirmed it for me . im big into buying software and just owning it .
Plus I like getting close to the metal and I initially did a library for Java and coded that way , but gamemaker saves a lot of time and 2D has less going on than 3D
