Thanks for all the bug catches! We know about the 0 hp bug, there was meant to be some stuff there where you had to reset the screen for the player, but there is some issue in the code there that ended up causing the player to lose instead.  We ended up catching this bug 10 minutes after the jam ended.

We definitely did not have time to code proper AI, so both player inputs and monster spawn are completely random. We had initially planned for more rigorous monster spawning (e.g. spawn where the player was 2 turns ago), as well as more intelligent  AI,  but it was too much to work on given the time constraints.

Great idea! We'll take that into consideration!

No, we have a team of 5. Art and music are from the same person, check out his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@bad.light.novel.titles

Cute game! Charming art. I came over from your comments on mine, and its interesting to see the difference between our concepts!

Fun little game, love love love the music and sfx.

This implication makes me happy XD

Thanks for the nice comment! I agree that the tutorial could definitely be better, but it was all we could do given the time constrain. Glad to see you're having fun!

Cute game with nice controls! Love the penguin aesthetic!

Not the first “control the bullet game” I’ve seen so far in this jam,  but definitely the best one. It’s challenging and interesting to play. Unfortunately, I also got the same softlock in the second stage :(

Hahaha I love this game. Great idea, great execution. I have this image of chatGPT just sitting in a box typing replies as fast as it can.

My math teacher will be proud. Even though it’s so simple, it feels very well-polished. One part of my brain knows I’m just doing math, but another part of my brain just keeps doing it

We can never have enough two-player games. It’s very fun and the idea is fantastic.

Just a tiny nitpick on the Player 2 side, where you can't do some Tetris tricks like move the piece after it touches the floor. It definitely makes them very hard to survive.

Interesting idea with fantastic art!

Music and art are incredible. I hope there can be some hp bar for the heroes. It feels like they never fall.

Interesting idea, love the puzzles! Charming little game

Great idea, great execution. Really charming game. Loved it!

One suggestion I have would be to make the game progress faster and faster, since once you figure out the rules, it becomes a waiting game to get to the next level.

Nice game! Great artwork, UI works great, incredible for 48 hours!

Laughed at the game. Not much gameplay as far as I could tell, but I still enjoyed myself a lot

Fun little game. UI is easy to understand, but tasks get a bit repetitive.

More tasks to do that involve more than just pressing a button would make the game a lot more interesting!

Great game! Love the art and music. As others have suggested, being able to preview the level would help us to assign the roles. In puzzle games, I like to plan ahead and be proud of myself for a one-off execution.

Otherwise, I love it!

Good feedback! Unfortunately, we did not tweak the learning curve very well given the time limitations. We agree that a slower curve is a good place to start if we want to work further on this!

Hahaha. I've personally played almost a hundred games, and I can't break 30 frames either. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for this comment! We love the feedback. Our original game was indeed as you described, where all the actions could be done in any order, with a single button to confirm the frame. We even had a version where the variables side and game side were different inputs, lending space for multiplayer play.  Those did not stand up well to playtesting though, the learning curve was much higher than even this, and we eventually settled on this version. Given enough time to work out the UI/UX, we might be able to pull that off.

Regardless, this is something we can definitely work on in the future!
