Yeah! I fully agree! I've always worked in teams since I finished my intake for my previous study, and it was time I worked solo again, I'm planning on learning some low-poly modeling, unity vfx, and C# / Unity in this jam! I've got plenty of time and I already got a little game going :) trying to make it fun ASAP so that I can start testing things. so far I have car mechanics // driving, drifting and some sliding (because of ICE!) as well as an online leaderboard system for completion times, and basic tire trails (VFX), working on checkpoints next and then doing some level design :)

It's going great! I got the core mechanic working thanks to unity docs and am currently working on some basic VFX, I think i'll be able to make quite a good game in this time, I just hope it fits the theme <3

I'm working on a snow/ice rally game (car), if there is anyone wanting to join in it'd be amazing!

all good <3 thank you <3

goodluck everyone <3

We got the theme, Goodluck everyone!

1 theme entry per person, upvote on themes you like.

at 8PM AMS (1 hour after jam started) we'll decide on a community theme) or when Kevin gets back and updates his Jam.

I hope Kevin is okay, and I hope he can make it here. but if there is no theme we have to honour the gamejam somehow...

upvotes on a theme, I'll do a community post, everyone can put in 1 theme and we'll upvote the most wanted, after 10 minutes we'll pick that as the theme?

that is big brain

I'd suggest something simple that has to do with winter.. maybe like icy? out of control is a fun one too..

I think we can do any theme but it'd have to be a full community support. because this is taking quite long

possible themes:

  • - What Remains

  • - Out of Phase

  • - Borrowed Time

  • - Everything Has a Cost

  • - Almost in Control

  • - Echoes of a Choice

  • - Built to Break

  • - The Space Between

  • - Nothing Stays Hidden

  • - One Thing Too Many

  • if in 30 minutes there is no theme I suggest we make one ourselves...

sounds amazing! I'll make a loading screen simulator as well <3

The theme is... "will be revealed at the start of this jam". <3 goodluck all!

I'm a Designer (both graphic designer, 2d artist and Game Designer) looking to make a snow rally car game, It'll be my first time using C# with Unity with a small/no team. Any help is welcome!
as long as the theme allows this ofcourse.

    On it :)

Thanks for the video and feedback :)

... I don't exactly know what went wrong... thank you for your feedback

We looked at how BG3 made it and we applied ambient occlusion to the camera :D

thank you for playing our game!

we really appreciate your feedback :)

Awh no!! I never had that happen :( We'll see if we can get someone on that asap!
and yeah the camera was a bit tricky but it ended up being okay :)

We'll note down that the ogre felt too slow- thank you for your feedback :)

I feel sorry for your lag, we had some issues on the project during development causing lag in the editor aswell and weren't able to fix it in time. Besides that I'd love if you put this into constructive feedback so the team can see where we might've missed out on certain aspects in the game!

Could you explain why it does not fit the theme in a constructive manner? that way the team can see where we might have missed out on the thematic aspect of the game.

Loved the idea!! had a great time playing the game :)

Really creative and the eyes give so much character to the character, I loved playing the game and it's quite difficult to beat until you get the hang of it- where then all of the sudden it becomes a fun challenge - overall amazing game!!

I quite liked the idea- I did not really understand the second day where I placed the revolvers next to each other and nothing happened, and the little slimes dodges my turrets entirely! I do say it's a fun respectable tower defense game that I really enjoyed :)

Very cool jam game! loved it!
