cool game! the artstyle is really nice, the menu intro is cool, and the game overall feels pretty polished, really liked the screen going wild when close to a hunter, but it's weird to me that you get caught even if they didn't catch up to you, maybe giving hunters more speed once they see you would've been more intuitive, but other than that, great game, well done

Wow, good job! Really cool game, I like both the oldschool RPG style, and the storytelling, characters having a game session is really cool, the art is great, so is the music, great job, the only thing I didn't like were crabs, omg those guys and their defence, literaly took longer than the final boss (I lost to him, but still :P), the game in general is too long for a game jam in my opinion, but I played through the entirety of it, and I don't regret it. Well done!

A little rundown on the mechanics, because we didn't have time for a tutorial, but apparently the game really needs one:

each card has a type (dark/light, you can identify it by the card's bg color) and drains mana from a corresponding circle when you place it, the cost of the card is the number of dots at the top of the card, it's damage is the number to the left of that,  and the arrow points to a column the card will hit

cards that are placed in the first row (card's row indicator is under the cost) do damage to the oposing column (remeber about the arrow),  the damage is dealt from bottom to top (if all damage gets used on a card, nothing behind it gets hit) for your cards, and top to bottom for enemy, if card hits another card, it lowers it's damage, cards with 0 damage get destroyed
cards in the second row usually do support stuff like healing you, adding damage to your cards or regenerating mana, you can understand what the card does from the description
 the goal of each battle is to bring the opponents health to 0.

Great game, actually feels like a speedrunning game, with really speedy character with controls that take getting used to, the quick respawn and the timer ofcourse, I like it, sadly I didn't get to play it for long, because at some point the game just froze after I died, and when I reloaded the page, it refused to load past a certain point, may be smth with my internet, but anyway, cool game, great job!

Great game! short and wholesome, art looks great and the controls feel nice, I also like how you're not told what to do and so the storytelling feels very natural, really liked the game, great job!

the build finished uploading 20 seconds after the deadline, but the date upload file says 3 minutes before deadline, is there any way to submit? I know questions should be asked on discord server, but no one's responding there :P

Very cool game! I really like the artstyle and the controls feel quite good (gamepad controls have a bit of delay but I appreciate the effort) little easter eggs with Nate and Daniel are also quite cool. And overall really enjoied the game!

Wow, very cool game! I didn't expect to see something like this considering jam only lasted 3 days, quite unique idea and I like it a lot, game looks nice and adding some sort of end goal would make it smth I would like to play in the free time. Though there are some problems, like the upgrade menu feels a bit overwhelming when you first open it and making tiles empty until you dig near them makes the world look a bit empty (maybe making undiscovered tiles completely balck would help) and a couple times game just froze for a few seconds and then all my progress was gone. But there will always be some issues when making a game in such a short period of time, good job, Great game!

I like the concept, and the game looks good, but most of the levels were just about properly timing your jumps, so I think it would work better as rhytm game concept :) But the game is also great as is! Good job for only 3 days!

Great game! I really like the idea (and the pun) but it feels *so* slow, just making the can fall faster would make it SO much better, It would be a very cool game to kill some time, just *please* make it faster :) but other than that very cool for only 3 days!

Wow, thats soo good for just 3 days, I really like the way the game looks, the different types of bullets make you strategise a bit (though fire bullets seem to be OP), I really like the concept of doing things while also shooting ghosts, and overall the game feels really polished. thought it got quite laggy at third level (web build), and I'm still not quite sure how the movement bar works, but overall It's very good. great job!

Glad you liked the game :) I did try focusing the game on exploration and such, so I'm glad it turned out to be fun, I didn't really gave a second thought to binding Shotgun jump to space bar but it did turn out to feel better it seems, but should've worked a bit more on reload mechanic agreed with that :P

Glad you liked the game :) there are 3 bosses in the game, but I think I know which one you're talking about, Really should've worked a bit more on that one. I really aimed for the shotgun to feel good, so I'm glad you liked it. I thought only being able to reload once you used all the bullets can be an interesting mechanic, but didn't manage to come up with a good use for it :P

Not bad! I like the Idea, and the game looks nice, (and I like that you can do nothing and just beat ghosts in a fair R-P-S) but the bar should really be visible for a few seconds before starting, because quite often the goal spawns so far to the left that you just don't have the time to react. But overall good job for only 3 days!

Great game! the movement feels very smooth, and binding both movement and shooting to cursor adds a bit of a strategy element to the game (like, you can only run away *or* shoot). Would be nice to have a bit of variety in rooms (like some obstacles and stuff, but rooms generation is already quite impressive for such a short time) and maybe some reload indicator, but other than that, very well made game, good job! especially for only 3 days

Wow, Great game, it feels sooo polished and I really like the art style, the ghost feels a bit too fast for the "blocks with gaps" level desighn, but wall jumping really makes it not that bad

Great game! the controls feel a bit too fast to me (or more likely I'm just not used to playing with arrow keys) and platforms should let you jump through them, but other than that I really liked the game, its quite chalenging (couldn't make it to the end :P) and very fun! well done! especially for only 3 days!

Great game! Really liked it, the speed feels a bit too much at first, because first level is mostly about platforming, but it makes sence after that, because speed really helps dodge bullets and stuff. The game was quite challenging, fun, and it looks really cool. well done! especially for only 3 days. (btw, my cat's name is also smoky :3 )

Nice game! I like the simplistic style, everything have animations, particles, the game juice is present, but mechanic-wise the game lacks a bit, wish there was more things to do, but polishing what you have when there's only 2 days is also a good Idea.

Great game! The art is nice and the idea is quite cool, the game's fun to play and making diferent difficulties be represented by different dice is cool. tho debuff list makes it hard to see to the left, making it half-transparent would be nice, and making the ball explode on spike contact is too drastic in my opinion, maybe making it shrink a bit instead of ending the game right away would be nice.

Really cool game! I liked the way all characters have faces and facial expressions, the game idea is quite cool, and the artstyle is nice. sometimes enemies touch you when they shouldn't, but that's about it for the bad things.

Nice game! I really liked the way it looked, music was quite fitting and having a commentator Idea is rather interesting. Said comentator's lines feel very similar and lines that play when you reach your oponent's base get cut off by the line of starting new turn, so you can't really hear those, also having some kind of AI to play alone would also be nice.

But overall, really great game, especially for only 2 days! Maybe you'd check out my game too? ;)

Great game! at first I thought it's gonna be a regular platformer, but then it turns out I have to fall out of the level, I iked the Idea and the text on the bottom, I can't even point out any negative things, maybe the lenght, but It was made in 3 days, so I can't complain about that.
