To all the anime and card fans! Drink Hero is a game made during a semester at Games Academy. It's a turn-based card game, with gacha mechanics inspired by RPGs such as Genshin Impact.
I am not associated with the game, we're just from the same semester and I became a BIG fan.
You recruit with drink-themed waifus and hubsandos of all kind. You unlock characters both with a gacha mechanic but also by defeating big bad bosses. The artists did an amazing job at creating a diverse cast with many different body and character types. They got alot of feedback after all, throughout two semesters even.
The gameplay is as addicting as you expect. You battle many monsters in a turn-based card battle system, where different combinations of characters bring new cards to the table. The game has a very big scope for a student project, with 20+ characters to recruit and upgrade.
Drink Hero even made an appearance at an Animecon.

Arrythmic Death is a cardiophobic horror game by another semester group at Games Academy. You must find a way out of this haunted hotel, using the A and D keys in a rythm to move!
I am not associated with the game, I am just from the same semester.
This team made me fall in love with the game since Gate 1, where it was first presented, and already had these hotel rooms with amazing lighting. Everything you see is made by the students, no asset packs. The monster started as a 2D image of a horrofying tentacle monster, and now turned into a polished 3D model.
Shoutouts to my schoolmates who worked on this gem!

Our Games Academy project is done! We made a party game based on Mario Party and Pummel Party, with a incredibly charming witch theme by our artists. I played the game designer.
The programmers pulled trough despite the pain that is networking, and we all supported them on these final days. Now we have a fun minigame collection where players can come together and have a chill break.
