One of our artists emi can't reply on itch so here's her response:

thank you so much for enjoying our game!!! i'm so happy with the comparison to lobcorp, it's one of my favourite games... and thank you for the lovely comment on the artstyle!!! i'm so glad you had a good time :D
P.S, your game is absolutely awesome, the style is gorgeous!!!

Very fun concept and great art!
I do agree on the difficulty part with no explanation as to where you're supposed to go, but this is a really solid entry with great design!
Maybe add an instant death button, if you want to leave a body to eat later or if you failed too many jumps and know you won't be able to continue anyway

(1 edit)

Very impressive amount of upgrades for a game jam!
I enjoyed the many items and upgrades, though I felt like the printer was way stronger than anything else
A preview of the area of the fly swatter would be very helpful

Fun idea and very nice art
I do think the difficulty should get adjusted because it can be very hard to get a run going, 500$ is very rough for the first week
There are also super expensive items that can appear that you simply can't buy which can feel frustrating (though I do understand that you need to make the player aware of them so that's its own issue)
I think with additional balancing and mechanics this could be really fun!

Solid controls and shooting mechanics

I really think you'll be able to expand into something great from this!

Very nice reloading animation

Very short and fun game!
The multiple timers going at different timing is pure evil...
Really enjoyed the game!

Very funny writing, great music, I really enjoyed it!

I would add transitions between levels, it does feel a bit abrupt especially the later (and something at the end of the game because it just turns into a black screen so I was waiting for something to happen)

Also the robot assembling part can be very rough with the RNG, I sometimes waited a while before finally seeing the part I needed

Great work overall!

Short and fun game! I enjoyed the concept

Adding a mouse sensitivity slider would help a lot

If you were to expend the game, I'd recommend adding a lot more animals with varying amounts of points, and animals that get caught on purpose to mess up your count (especially at the end when you're waiting for the timer to end)

Very fun concept but I really struggled trying to read everything while also making sure I hit the notes
The dialogue can also hide the bars when they overlap too much which makes it even harder
And sometimes you can touch a response while trying to avoid another response so that can feel bad

The tracks are really good!

(PS: I'd add additional sprites for the count for when you hit notes to show his killer moves even more)

Fun gameplay, it was at its best when you could chain dashes but I struggled a bit with my mouse to get the right angle, it might be easier with controllers

I did not find the arrows and swords very useful since you could just dash again after killing someone and most levels had vampires close to each other
(Also I kept wasting arrows by left clicking by reflex after ending a level)

I would also add a prompt to let the user redo a level to let them get a better time since the timer is shared between levels

Also love the main art

I love this game, such a funny idea

Thank you, we love WarioWare

Great game, the visuals are super clean

Really good choice of music

Only critique I have is maybe shorten the max waiting a bit, some shots can require up to 8 seconds, it can feel really long especially when you get three long shots in a row

Very fun concept and mix of genre!

The rain can feel very unfair by blocking you from reaching the silly and causing you to lose, but the rest of the gameplay is fun and dynamic!

Thank you for noticing the work of us programmers!

Really fun game and idea!

Ngl level 8 and 9 are extremely brutal compared to the rest of the game, but it was a fun experience

I'd just add the level somewhere on the UI because it's very easy to miss in the small text box and I kept forgetting how far I was in the game

(Also I grabbed a checkpoint after dying which brought me back to life, that was funny)
