Noticing a few bugs from the start:
- Clicking ESC opens up the "Invoke Dark Powers" menu, but there's no way to close it.
- After restarting the game (because I couldn't close the dark powers menu) whenever I picked up the sword, it'd be stuck on the "managed to tuck it in his pocket dialogue" and you'd have no way to progress.
- UI/room selection bug mentioned in this comment's replies.
A full screen option would be nice to have (if there's one already I'm not finding it) as the room names are entirely illegible when viewing the map.
Aesthetics and music are really nice though. Going to redownload it and clear my appdata cache (if there is any) so I can try and progress. Happy Halloween!
EDIT: Finished the playthrough. Overall a very cute one-off. Loved Bronze and Flynn. I'd say I loved Mav too, but he's cringe so I must detest him on principle /joke. Please keep making these goofy games. Something you could consider for the future, if you keep making these short-form games, is seeing if you can combine them into a single file like a library of games sort-of-thing. Just a thought.
Bug to report, if you interact with the heroes menu after capturing the target it will have you restart the capture mission and once done it'll auto complete. If you have already mind controlled the target then the capture mission is still up. It will still auto complete but then it'll put the target back in the brainwashing chamber. Interacting with the captured hero causes the game to lock.
Not sure if this is a bug or intentional. I forgot Ste had to be rescued from Vicoria before you can access to the Farmstead. I had cleared the Orc War quest and didn't side with Mirage so now Ste is not accessible and neither is the Farmstead. Is there a plan to make it accessible in the future if this happens or is it just a "welp you missed it" deal?
So something that I'm noticing but I'm not sure if it's bugs per se, is the maintaining/adjusting waves seems optional. I've yet to make it to the end, due to skill issue, but it seems that you can progress the game without needing to make adjustments to the alpha, beta, etc waves. I'm sure that the ending will vary based on if you do as the client asks or not, but just wanted to point out that it doesn't seem to effect my progress from what I can tell so far. (Maybe it effects the end and I'm just unfortunate to not have made it yet)
On that note, how many endings are there currently?
Looks like there are a number of bugs in this one. Just a couple things I've noticed checking out the changes on my prior playthrough of v0.12 (I hadn't restarted).
- if you go to where katana is, you cannot backtrack, you have to interact with him to leave
- certain doors don't let you through when you interact with them, you have to hit them at just the right spot
- the video archive does not scroll. your selection can continue downward, but it doesn't show you what you're hovering over after the 3rd option since it doesn't scroll
- you can walk on the pool like its frozen over
