I really liked the art style and grapple mechanic here, but the movement felt very loose and fast. I also didn't really feel like it was clear what I was meant to be doing, but I had a lot of fun regardless!

Back in my cooking days, Chef Mike was the microwave!
This is such a fun concept, and it plays really well. Loved the upgrades and super satisfying to use them on enemies. The game looks wonderful, I loved the artwork and the audio effects - I'd echo the comments below about a few passive upgrades adding some quality to the whole experience, but what's you've made feels so polished and it's a really engaging game. great work!
Took me a little while to get my head around the stun and throw side of things, but once I did I had a lot of fun with it! Definitely gets more intimidating as it gets bigger, but it's such a great concept and plays really smoothly. The artwork is wonderful and I loved the audio effects too - going to have the song stuck in my head for a while!
Great game, team!
This was a ridiculously great game - it's so much fun! It feels so polished and it's such a clean experience, the controls are really simple and effective and the minigames work a treat. I love the premise, and the artwork and audio feel like they compliment it brilliantly.
Absolutely brilliant game, team!
This is a great concept, and it was really good fun when it went well - I'd echo the feedback below, I think some indication of where the target is would go a long way to giving a sense of focus to the levels. I also think an 'instant restart' function so you can ditch a run and begin again would be a real quality-of-life improvement for when things go sour
Great game, Araneae!
I like the concept and I feel like this could be a lot of fun, but it's very hard to figure out what you're actually meant to be doing initially. Figured it out pretty quickly, and then I had a pretty good time with it - but I feel like a little bit of onboarding for the player would go a really long way with this one.
Really good idea though, fun little game!
I think the first crash was on the initial boot when playing in the browser - when the fire graphics are loading at the top of the tower, there was some significant stutter and then it just froze entirely. By the time it caught up to itself I'd hit the 'Death' screen. Entirely possible it was just the device I was playing on tbf
I absolutely love the art style you've used here - it's gorgeous and it adds such character to the game! The audio is really great too, gave me pure retro energy.
I struggled with the controls initially, but once I got used to them I made a lot more progress and really enjoyed myself. Had a few crashes when there were multiple visual effects on screen, but I think that's something you've already noted below.
Really great game though, had a blast playing!
This was a lot of fun to play! I love the visuals, your art style is really unique and I think it found a great balance between humour and spooky vibes.
I think the feedback below on cornering is valid - it's a tricky one to nail down but it does feel a bit like it interrupts the pacing at present. That said, I really enjoyed the game and had a great time blasting dudes! Also loved the road names, a few of them gave me a good laugh!
Yeah, I think I'll probably add a more 'friendly' mode where players can essentially look at the dictionary at any time (the clock will still continue to count down though), and I'll probably add it as a 'cheat' option in Survival mode as well - my solution for the existing game modes is at the end of each round we'll have a little interstitial option to go to 'Lexicon Junction' where the game will show definitions for each word to demonstrate they are legal and valid.
Thanks so much for playing, and for your feedback - it's massively appreciated!
Yeah, it was a bit of a mad dash to get something functional for submission, so I'm quite pleased with the end result. That said, there's definitely a few areas I want to tighten up on, and the dictionary is one of the bigger areas in that respect! I'll be looking into what's causing this particular issue and fixing it for the next release, so I really appreciate the feedback here to put it on my radar! I think I'll be adding a way for the player to open the game's dictionary for reference, so hopefully that'll address that concern you've noted around "what words will it actually have"
Thanks so much for the feedback, really means a lot!
Thanks so much for your feedback - I think I definitely need to polish up the interception mechanics a little, as they're not as clear as I would like. I'll certainly look at them for the next release to get them to a better state. Also, really appreciate the feedback on the audio issue, I hadn't encountered that myself but I'll add it to the list to get it fixed.
Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!
That's very kind, thank you so much! Yeah I have had a couple of comments saying that the host words didn't seem to be valid, so I'll be looking into why that is happening and fixing it for the next release - thank you so much for flagging it here though, I really appreciate the feedback!
I based the letter generation on the original ruleset for the inspiration format, but I'll be adding a random selection function for the next release to speed up play and make it a bit more accessible.
Thanks so much for taking the time to play and for leaving such great feedback, massively appreciate it!
(PS. had a busy day with work, but your game is on my list to play and review today!)
Thanks so much for your feedback! I've had a few comments to this effect, and it's really great feedback so I massively appreciate it - I'll be looking at the dictionary referencing in the next update, so I should hopefully have a fix for this in the next update.
Really appreciate you taking the time to play and feedback, so thank you so much!
