You’re not a hero. Not a biologist. Just the poor bastard getting paid to find whatever the hell people are reporting out there.

Here’s my project: The Final Expedition — looking for some honest feedback.

The game in short:
You work for a private research company. Your job is to track strange creatures based on vague-ass witness reports.
Stuff like:

“Glowing eyes.”
“Something hiding near the river.”
“Might’ve had horns?”

From that, you have to figure out which one of these freaks is the actual alien.
Problem is — there are mutant animals that look almost the same. Screw up, and you’re dead.

Scientists give you blaster charges — they only work on real aliens.
You can sell mutant hides to a hunter in the forest biome — he gives you survival gear: food, water, machetes, traps, etc.

Eventually, you realize it’s not just about collecting creatures. You need to gather energy from enough aliens to shut the damn portal before things get worse.

Looking for feedback on:
– Is the core idea interesting, or just another sci-fi game?
– Is the clue-based tracking system fun or just confusing?
– Do you feel motivated to keep playing?
– What would you change or add?

Any feedback’s welcome — if you try it out, hit me with your thoughts.

I really appreciate your words! It means a lot to me as a solo dev.
I'm working on polishing things further and maybe adding more alien types soon 👀

Hey everyone!

I just released my first indie horror game — The Final Expedition.

You play as an expeditionary hired by a private research company. Your missions are based on vague eyewitness reports of strange creatures seen across multiple biomes — forests, jungles, mountains, swamps, and more.
The twist? Some are aliens. Some are mutants that look like aliens. You only get cryptic clues like “glowing eyes” or “horns,” and you have to figure out which target is real — or risk getting killed.

Every specimen you capture helps scientists understand the threat. You get blaster charges that work only on aliens — not mutants. Make the wrong choice, and it can be fatal.
There’s also a hunter’s shack where you can sell mutant hides in exchange for supplies — water, food, machetes, traps, flashlights, and more.

I developed the entire game solo — from code and design to music and art — on a weak laptop.
Let me know what you think, and feel free to support it if you enjoy the vibe.
