Amazing game, I dont have much to say but the gameplay, visuals and audio are all super unique and well made! It gets pretty hectic once you make a mistake and have to pull yourself together on the fly. Would be cool to be able to play without the tutorial and have it be harder from the get go as the first 120 seconds are pretty easy (which is good for first time players). Structure reminds me of fnaf and other sort of “micro management” horror games, so I was half expecting a jumpscare haha

What a charming gem of a game! Love every aspect from the visuals to the music and sounds. Gameplay is super unique and I liked how each character has their own abilities and the resource management is really cool. I did manage to softlock the game though idk how and im not sure what the fishing ability does? Regardless, very solid entry!

oddly satisfying game, i got really immmersed and i think halfway through my brain started hallucinating the arrow changing direction lol. Very nice visuals, the warm colors go great with the overall vibe and the music. Great job!

thanks a lot! im pretty sure i added a limit but i guess it broke at some point lol, you can also try to not pour water at all ;) glad you enjoyed

thanks a bunch! A history of things you tried would help for that i think i will def work on that :)

yoo thanks for playing! i will definitely improve the game in the future. In my original concept getting a hint would unlock an entry in the brewpedia (which i didnt have time to add ;-;) which actually goes into more detail. pressing E should bring up a menu in the grind phase, maybe it was bugged for you? making it playable mouse only is also on my list, controller might be a bit weird though. it was also going to be a bit more interactive (i was going to have you weigh the coffee yourself) but i decided its too complicated and not instrumental to the gameplay. as for the text being pixelated thats a result of the low resolution, but i have a few ideas to make it more readable. thanks for the in depth analysis, very helpful for the future of the game ;)

fixed a bunch of menu bugs, will drop post jam o7 ngl after this jam i started drinking tea again lol. anyways thank you for playing :))

thank you so much! glad you stuck with it, I think what is missing is a quick sequence showing you how it looks when you get it 100% right so you can then experiment on your own and know what youre aiming for. Progression wise there is only one step above “pretty good” so you actually got really close :)

ah yes i read that but i forgot - still space ability is my fav 😤

I got to wave 17 by which time my guy was already maxed out :) Very fun game. Not a lot of spinning in the gameplay, but i dont care because the the idea is very well executed. Sprites and animations remind me a lot of Terraria with Calamity Mod, very satisfying. The sounds, slow mo on hit and enemies flashing also add a lot of polish. The space ability is super dope, feels great to use. Balance wise i found it weird that the shift ability would use energy since the space ability basically already fulfills its purpose and more, so i ended up not using it. The game is not terribly difficult, but the upgrades give a very nice sense of progression :) Solid job overall!

I rated this game right at the start of the jam but im leaving a comment now that ive managed to beat Yue (3 times in a row on the same save file 😎). Absolute banger, idk if the affinity/weakness table is new or I missed it the first time but it was a huge help in making my strat. I picked 2 big sections, marketing and another one that together cover the entire spectrum without overlap then got a few smaller sections to counter anything that beats my 2 main ones, that with Vice President + Clerk build. I also finally figured out what the prestige is (I thought it was money first lol I was wondering where’s the shop). The dialogue and story is incredibly charming, level of polish and animation in the UI reminds me of Persona and the visuals are a very good match for the theme and are a great choice for a jam. One of my favs in the jam, solid job

Very charming game! Wish gameplay was faster and the parry cooldown was lower. VAs knocked it out of the park (especially for Marz) and you nailed the aesthetic. Would love to see more!

Yup, game is fun, will certainly finish it later :))

not the inquisition lmao - satisfying little game, i admit i didnt reach the end (i gave up while crafting the ent) because its a little slow in some regards: as you level up the wheel, making money becomes easier but getting crafting materials actually becomes harder? because your chance of landing on what you need decreases. Maybe I just dont get the optimal strat. That being said I had fun while playing and the art and sound design are very polished. Solid job :)

(1 edit)

Awesome game! Art, writing and sound design are all top notch. Gameplay really shines in the last 2 fights (difficulty spikes a bit at the 2nd to last fight), especially the final one, I had to pay attention to the attack patterns. Extremely cool that you can block the enemy’s top with your zipline thing. Overall very polished entry and I would really appreciate if Lucy’s sister could dm me thank you :)

thanks a lot! Almost accurate, multiply all timings by 6 and you got yourself the real thing :) happy you liked the psx vibes

Canon she likes you she just doesnt show it ;)

Thanks a lot! Indeed it gets complicated, the no tutorial approach seems to be a little divisive :v but im glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for mentioning the autosave notification, I was going to change it once I add saving but I ran out of time and left it there haha

Fellow barista! thank you for playing! Had my doubts abt the idea, but im happy u found it creative :) As for Yura, she can definitely be a bit much lol, I agree there needs to be some sort of progression and some sort of very basic tutorial (i think just walking you through all the parameters you can change would go a long distance). Sugar and cream minigame is also really cool, making latte art also involves a lot of spinning, many places to expand, thanks for the suggestions o7

haha thanks a bunch, hope you enjoyed :v

An absolute joy to play, its amazing how much content you managed to pack in this game, the music, the sound effects, the graphics, they all are such a vibe. I think I got almost everything there is (i missed the cosmetics). A small nitpick because im an asshole, add a spring arm to the camera so it doesnt clip into the walls in tighter sections and its literally a flawless entry

A banger and I found it very relatable in its commentary on game design and the illusion of player choice, very well executed, not overtly in your face but comes off naturally through the gameplay loop. really well thought out, good job

thanks a lot! exactly right abt the mean hints, thats the gameplay loop, youre supposed to feel kind of lost and improve one thing at a time

I played it through to the end it didnt get old for a second. The in world models and ui is really awesome and i just find the shop really cool in particular. Really see the vision here. Thats why i have a few small nitpicks and things that id add: the camera transitions are a bit too slow imo and the linear easing isnt super pleasant for slow movements (i think emulating the movement of persona 5 menus would go so hard for this game), i wish there was a bit of an indicator when youre charging the dash, doesnt have to be a bar, just a vignette and maybe some effects would be cool (the sound does offer some of that) and maybe some more juice and sound effects all around. Balance wise I dont think you made the game too hard, its very doable after a few upgrades. Kind of got cut off short actually, so maybe making it a bit longer and adding a difficulty curve would help there. Again im just nitpicking, Baller game overall

Really fun! Especially once you get the hang of things. Style is very nice and dialogue is endearing. I dont know if the starting loadout is too impactful, at least i dont see a reason to change it myself. I think if certain things could change your wheel mid run and the difficulty curve is tweaked a bit (I found it a little easy after I realized what you need to do) and all round fleshed out and expanded, this could very well be a paid game, good job :)

They done slimed the wise sock :( Very polished short and sweet experience all around! Story is fun and the menus and gameplay have a lot of juice

Awesome game! Liked the take on the theme and the story is fun. Art and sounds are also on point, maybe a second ost track would have made the loop better. Gameplay gets a bit repetitive, but thats understandable for a jam

Nice take on the theme. I cant however get my crosshair to be in the center of the screen (someone mentioned zooming out but that doesnt seem to work for me), also would be cool if you could ADS so you can hit some baller quickscopes

very charming cross between 3d platformer and puzzle game, dont see too many 3d platformers in general, so kudos for that! The character controller feels tight and the animations are great. Sounds and music are very well made. Was ready for more after the 3rd level, still its pretty crazy you got 3 polished levels in the time frame. And the little spark when you fly in the sky made me chuckle, great game

haha thanks! indeed you need a full score across the board in water temp, grind setting, pour count, bloom duration, bloom ratio, coffee to water ratio and you need high enough accuracy on the pour, so pretty strict :v as for what spinning the coffee at the end does… its a secret ;)

only complaint is that i want more 😤

Fun and intuitive puzzle game! Had fun optimizing my route to not run out of moves. My only question is does the game calculate that there is no possible solution and game over early? Because sometimes I lose with 30 moves remaining consistently on a specific route. If so, thats a strange decision, Id like to play it til the end to see what i did wrong.

“Spin Left/Right to avoid social interaction” 🗣️🔥 Banger game, loved the music and the theme interpretation is top tier. Subliminal messages in the second to last song definitely upped my KPI across the board.

Game was really fun, the effects have a lot of juice to them. I died pretty quickly in every run bc im bad. It also seems that if u hold A or D while hopping around your velocity isnt clamped and you can bhop a bit like a source game, not sure if thats intended but its really fun and adds counterplay to the fast turtles since you can go quite fast. The only thing id add is a way to customize your build or some sort of decision making on that front that isnt RNG, but overall, great job :)

Very polished game and the art is very expressive (esp the character portrait on the map), Id say the difficulty is just right, beat it in 2/5 runs and the special bullets are really cool and give u a meaningful boost in combat, solid job!

I have maxed out lighting protection, eat it Zeus

The game is fun and the visuals are beyond awesome, manager-san was losing her shit when the blood moon came around (???) I would add a limit to how much credit you can take tho but thats just a balancing issue

This game is so impossibly cute, the art and dialogue are so on point. I can tell the devs had fun with it (also Ford is my fav). I got the ‘perfect’ ending on the second try, and this line hit like a truck in the context of the jam, amazing job.

thanks so much fellow coffee nerd o7

this game goes hard

nice interpretation and movement feels great, good job :)
