I FIXED IT! I went into compatibility settings in properties of RPG maker and had it run on Windows XP settings

out of no where my character on RPG maker XP keeps just walking right and wont stop, i've unplugged my keyboard, replugged it, swapped keyboards, turned whole machine off and on, uninstalled and reinstalled game, opened numerous different project files, and started new project files, and still happens, I dont have an external controller or anything either, it just keeps running to the right upon starting the game, even on a fresh new project, and I cant walk left only up and down, but If I let go of buttons it just keeps going right, please halp

im confused, in my runs it seems to be fine

the most common and most efficient one I have seen is having 3-4 judges rank each game so each game has the exact amount of ratings, but obviously with different scores.

some projects have over 6-7 ratings and I have only 1 rating, so I would lose by default just by how many plays and votes one game has gotten over the other.

Im sorry you had issues with the title, on my end each loading screen is about a second or two, this could either be a Clickteam issue or a hardware issue on your end.

im sorry everyone who watched the livestream I had to end it because people kept interrupting the stream and stuff so yeah, "Midnight encounter was the one who won the price by Gob Gob Goblin Studios!!! Congrats man stay in touch with me on discord so I can get you your money.

Exactly! it's all up to anyone's interpretation

Yessir! Especially the Spooky Level

(1 edit)

Welcome Back!

to the Lyko Horror Game Jam #2  Instead of a theme like the others I will write a sort of prompt and the submitters can interpret any way they like   “a character with blue eyes and glasses named Lyko, lives alone and is setting up presents for his family members, after wrapping presents he goes to take the mess to a trash can outside, when he is interrupted by something “  do with this prompt as you like as within two weeks after the voting period and submissions the winner will win 40$  Every game will be played on stream @LilLyko

Thank you everyone for joining and submitting to the first Lyko Horror Game Jam. I loved and played all of the game

s on the @LilLyko live stream on YouTube. Here are the respected winners.

Overall & Innovation: CONGRATS To Adrien Dittrick for getting #1 place in "Overall, & Innovation". for the game '[m] an idle nightmare' This game was one of the most innovative horror game's I have ever personally played. The art style was super creative and the mechanics were honestly out of this world. The sound design and story align perfectly to create this atmosphere that you cannot get the same affect created by huge game studio.

Style: Bear Willow got 1st place in "Style" for the game 'Tokihanatsu' this game was phenomenal, and the unique art style reminded me of the games 'sarah is missing' and 'simulacra', and this game met the same or similar expectations of those titles, with it's own twist of course. The once at first seemingly nice mini-games turn sour as the glitchiness and spookiness settles in.

Spooky Level: p-Iulian won this criteria by a long shot with the title 'No Treat Tonight', this game create's a false sense of security of a man taking a trip down memory lane in his old home. But it is Halloween, and everything is not as it seems when a man in a clown costume won't leave you alone. The spooky levels are off the CHARTS!

Audio: Tarotferret effortlessly dominates this criteria with his title 'Matchbox' the environment is very reminiscent of the DOOM '93 trilogy. And other retro 3D titles. It follows a person who is trying to escape a dimly lit maze, only way out is to find a key within the corridors. While mysteriously being followed in the darkness, BETTER KEEP THAT MATCH LIT! The audio coming from every little thing in the game creates a feeling of restlessness and confinement.

Special Shoutout Titles:

Speluncaphobia, a game made by WinterChonk, who was also apart of the livestream :)

A Game about the fear of caves, and the need to escape them.

A MidAutumn Nights Mare, a game by Chaos Industries, about someone going through a world that keeps shifting reality.

You alone, by Sadawd, about either the fear of small spaces or large ones, this game attaches to the fear effortlessly, forcing the player to face their fears in order to keep oxygen levels high.

The Forest of Change, a game by NonOnlineUser, about a person being chased by a crazed man!

Luce VS the Forces of Evil, by (FeverDev, & Taylor Allen) a game about a girl who fights against monsters.

Thank you so much everyone, I can't wait to do more of these in the future!!!!!

everyone vote on your favourite game's based on the rankings of the different catregories, I hope everyone had a blast making these games, and I had so much fun playing all of them and ranking them myself on stream :) hopefully we can have more fun gamjames in the future. Nice job! <3

This looks really cool! can't wait to play it on stream.

Preferably Web format, but you won't be disqualified from using either windows or web, as long as it isn't mac, because my PC is windows.

I do not mind reused assets from past game's you've made or royalty free assets, but do not re-use game's in the gamejam, it goes against the rules and your game will be disqualified.

I love it :D

We're glad you're here, I hope you have fun and good luck to you as well.
