thank you!!

thank you! i actually thought about adding something like that, but i couldn't figure out what wouldbe the best way to show it without taking too much space on the screen. i had a few ideas but time was running out and i kind of forgot I even wanted to add it. i was too stressed about having to write like near 1000 lines of dialogue before submission period ends. ><"

thank you!!!

well... i guess it's good to try something new every now and then, right?

thank you! ><"

Thanks!
I originally was planning on much more content and endings, but deadlines were coming so I had to cut out like 50% of the content I had ideas for, since I would go insane to write like a thousand more dialogue lines in 2 days... I'm still pretty happy about the outcome but I really hoped I could somehow manage all of the jokes and ending ideas I had in mind.

Thank you! I knew about glitched out audio and I tried uploading a few patches to fix it, but I only could make it slightly rarrer to happen. It's a rather specific issue, I have no idea what's causing it, I know it happens sometimes if you let music play for some decently long time without playing any other SFX effects... I guess nothing is perfect on the first try? ><

Sorry, couldn't finish the game. It's too disturbing for me... I almost threw up... But it's clearly high effort and high quality...

Do I need to say anything? Like... First I was: "Wow this looks like a gem! How did they manage to finish the game with cutscenes and such quality in like a week?!" and then I get hit by a truck named "the game ends". Currently, it's not even a game, or not even a novel, there's no gameplay outside of starting button smash, and for the novel there is no story. Which is awkward. I feel it has a lot of potential, but for the JAM it's definitly not something I can see winning, considering we don't even know what gameplay there will be. It looks interesting but... yeah...
I think you tried to bite off more than you can chew.

This game is probably the most fun one I tried out yet. It geniunely feels like something that could be played on a Nokia 3310. It's so simple yet it's quick, fun, and when you lose it actually feels fair. I feel like the game like this could be pretty bonkers if you develop it further! Maybe like add a number that could be used for any even or odd number, or make that so ceratin lines move after you picked a number from bottom row. This gives me Tetris potential vibes.

Not sure if that is intended, but the game is extremely frustrating and rage inducing. I got stuck on two levels for like 5 minutes having to redo them multiple times in a row. And I wasn't even trying to complete it before the timer. Wall sliding is very frustrating, it was useful less times than it caused me my anger when player starts to slide the wall when on the ground and refuse to jump or do anything. The timer above gives me like 30 seconds while I had to spend 5 minutes to clear the level, because one slip up causes you to parkour up and try again. The level with switching platforms with a button was extremely fun until I got decently high and I just kept falling and falling again and again without an ability to reach the top. I just gave up after a certain amount of tries. The base is really good and could be fun but I feel like the levels are extremely untested. The difficulity spike is vertical from the first levels to these two.

Really cute! It was enjoyable and pretty fun, I really like the idea, but jumps feel too fast and hard to use. Cat jumps and falls way too fast to control it. Plus it would be much more helpful if by pressing Enter first the text would appear in one go, and only second press would advance it. Sometimes text takes way too long to load in to read it and you just by instinct press Enter but it just skips the line completely which sucks. And bossfight is rather too simple, considering lucky cat doesn't attack the bottom row at all. It's just wait for it to shoot, go up and shoot the head and go down to the bottom row. Other than these three things it's really great!

Really confusing for me to be honest. It took some time to figure out that I have to press both direction keys and shoot button to shoot. When you move rooms next room doesn't get loaded in and doesn't make sense. Enemies just die by themselves most of the times and I have no idea what's the deal with smiley faces...

thank you!!! ><

It is 84x48! Rules allow to use either landscape or portrait mode.

really creative and fun, but I got confused when I reached the end of the level and nothing happened.

When I launched it just started glitching out and spamming sounds. Can't go past level screen. Had to restart game a few times before it worked. I'm pretty sure the resolution is much bigger than 48x84 pixels. Hitboxes are way too big and unfair (player dies even if they don't touch cacti at all). Would benefit to add an input buffer for jumps. Really frustrating to play because of this. Other than that it's pretty decent! Not sure if it qualifies by the rules but it's alright if these issues are fixed in future.

hello! where I can contact you? me and my friend are planning to join the jam (he does art, i'm making the game) and having someone to take care of sounds and music would be great. my nickname on discord is woofyboo, in case you want to contact me instead! we can discuss the ideas we have there ><
