Slight Spoiler Warning!!

I really enjoyed A Coin on His Mouth! But before I begin yapping, I just want to say I’m not at all experienced with reviews, but I still wanted to share my thoughts as a reader. So I hope this is helpful!

So for starters, the presentation was honestly my favorite part. The art looked amazing, and I liked how the UI shifts to whoever is speaking.

I also really liked both the concept and atmosphere of the VN. I liked the superstition in a morgue setting and the overall eerie tone that was set. It kind of gave me the same atmospheric vibes as The Mortuary Assistant, which I really liked!

But for me, I didn’t feel super emotionally attached to any of the characters, but that might just be my own experience with it rather than a flaw in the story. I just felt like I was just observing what was happening than really feeling fully immersed with the charchters, so the events felt a bit more expected for me. But I still found the story interesting to read through.

I also thought the ending, specifically about the main character that was said to have changed afterward and going into psychology and becoming more religious, was really interesting! I just wished that there was a bit more focus or developed on that part, since it felt like a big shift in his life. Overall though, I did enjoy it a lot. The art, UI, and atmosphere really stood out to me, and I’m glad I read it! I’ll have to keep an eye out for more stuff from y’all. Keep up the good work!!

Thank you so much for the feedback! And the Lisa/Jane thing that was actually a typo on my part... Her name is supposed to be Jane, so sorry for the confusion and I'll make sure to fix that in the next update.  (Including all the other typos...)

As for the Boy Who Cried Wolf parallels, they become a lot more important later on in the story. I was aiming for a somewhat diff interpretation of the fable... Hopefully that will make more sense in the completed VN!

But thank you again for even reading this. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! 🥹

SPOILER WARNING!

I found this story really atmospheric and really felt immersed while reading! I think my favorite part was when Collin checked the engine and it was gone—gave me literal chills lol. I also really liked the ambiguity of the whole story, not really knowing if this was actually happening, or if something was taking everything, or maybe it was all in Collin's head. Overall, very well done!!  I'll def have to read your other work sometime.
