Please let me know if you guys have any thoughts on this!

Honestly thank you so much for this comment. I am replying super late because I've been working on other stuff but when you made that I looked up those titles I honestly wasnt aware of them before! It is super cool that other people have made stuff like this I wanted to make something really weird/niche on purpose. Thank you for your time playing and your compliment.

This is very pretty I was looking for inspiration with what other people had done before I cram and publish mine. Very nice looking.

I was able to see the options after zooming out to 50% I think my computer is 3456x2234 resolution. For some reason as you see they render all the way to the right going to give it a try and see if the game is playable.

I really like the whole aesthetic of the game very well done. My only gripes are that I can't see the tail on web version on mac and that the game seems to get to a point where it offers me upgrades that dont seem like they do anything? Specifically needle lvl 7 doesnt really seem visually better but maybe it does more damage? clearer descriptions would be really cool. Other than that I loved the idea of the first stage of spore.

Hey there, thanks for playing my game! I wasn't actually able to get it to progress beyond the main screen on chrome on MacOS in the web version. No input I pressed seemed to do anything. Not rating based on that but figured I'd let you know!

Haha I've speedrun my game so much in testing I can verify it is speedrunnable. Not really a speedrunning focused game but if I had a tip for speedrunning dont just sleep or you will die... You have to actually allocate resources to have a chance.

Here you go! This is my first game ever completed! I'd love to hear what you think if you have time to play it!

Hey thanks for playing my game earlier I really liked the idea of having something so self contained. Music was well balanced. I think that more could happen faster but other than that this is a good core concept. I just wanted it to get really wild when I restarted. I thought this was really fun and lighhearted though. I really liked the overall aesthetic you went for.

I said it in reply to another comment but thank you so much for that feedback! I really tried hard to make an atmospheric dystopian vibe go with the SFX and music and it is really thrilling to know that what I was going for is what people feel about the game! Thanks a million for taking the time out of your day to play my little game and leave such a nice note!

THANK YOU. I really appreciate that specific feedback as atmosphere was one of my biggest goals because I cant make anything pretty. Thanks so much for taking the time out of your day to play my little game.

I messed around in RPGMaker and on Renpy before and even made like maybe half a RPG in RPGmaker and then a few VN scenes in RenPy but I have not ever finished anything. Definitely my first finished project though. Never even finished a full tutorial of how to make a specific game because I just got bored  :') thanks so much for taking the time to leave feedback and play my game. I really appreciate you having done that. I really tried to make something decent and presentable in the time I had available. Thank you so much for your compliments as well!

Hey thanks! I went and played your game as well. Super interesting and stressful time management lol!  I'm glad that you played to the end and wanted understand the game! That is amazing to hear that you enjoyed it. Yeah fun is something I hope I can address later in the dev process of fleshing this out a bit. I want to give people more levers to pull and more things to interact with to have meaningful decision making.  Really good feedback!

Thanks for that! I screenshotted your comment and sent it to my friend who called it ugly lol. I really appreciate you taking the time to both play my game and leave a comment! And a nice one at that!

Wow thank you for the kind words! I appreciate you taking the time to play my game. Good shout about the gift box, I ran into that issue myself when testing but it doesnt happen consistently for ~some reason~ but thanks for the feedback that you got it to happen too! I'll add it to the KNOWN issues list!

Welcome Allocator,

You are ready to start your first day. Your responsibility is to allocate resources to your assigned provinces so that they can survive and thrive. Your survival and theirs depends on you being correct at all times. For security reasons you are allowed to know only what our agents write in reports. Should you succeed in your efforts, you may even survive to Judgment. Best of luck.

The Allocator is a short game made for the 2025 Shovel game jam that I plan to expand upon and flesh out into a 1-2 hour experience.  I'd love to hear any thoughts that you might have on the game as it is my first finished game ever, first 3d game, and first game jam game all in one. In it you are responsible for managing 3 randomly assigned provinces with random resources. Do well with this and they survive, neglect them and they will collapse. Should you wish to survive till day 10 you should allocate your resources wisely.

I hope you enjoy the game

KNOWN ISSUES:

MOUSE CONTROL: if you can't move or look around try clicking the screen or pressing P or escape as the browser for some reason loses mouse control

TRAINING MANUAL MISSING: Reload and it should be there, if not just start a new game and check the box to skip tutorial as you have already pretty much completed it by then!

Hey there! I made this game for the Shovel Jam 2025 and really enjoyed the process. I'd honestly really love to make a full version and throw it on steam thats around 1-2 hours and polished/has more features. This is the first game I have ever finished and the first game that I have ever submitted to a game jam , and the first time I ever tried to make anything in 3d game wise. It was honestly a ton of fun to learn things like version control and character controllers for the first time. I'd love to get people's thoughts on the game!

Especially if you have any feedback on:

  • Whats working
  • What you wish could be better
  • What you would love to see added/implemented

Thanks so much if you are taking the time out of your day to read this ! I became an itch.io member just for this Jam and have been astounded by just how nice everyone is!

Also if you experience any gamebreaking issues feel free to note them. Also down to talk about the game at length if anyone wants to!

KNOWN ISSUES:
Loss of mouse control/unable to move Click the screen or press P or esc and that should restore it!
Training manual not appearing (just reload should fix)

Thanks for playing my game! I love the "atmosphere" of this game. Movement feels cool. Smart to do something simple but well executed!
