Hi, thanks a lot for playing my game!

1. I think you locked yourself out at the 2nd gate with the gear mechanism. But if that's not the gate that locked you out then please give descriptions to let me know.

2. Movement isn't glitching but the problem is with camera I think so because it never glitched for me, when I tested it before release. Though I know it still has some bugs like the end screen etc.  Also I just played the game but couldn't find a glitch so please let me know where the game glitched for you so that I can fix it.

3. Shooting at one direction was designed because firstly this is my first finished game so to speak and I hurried myself to finish it as best I could before submission time ended. If I had more time I might have made it shootable in for all the four cardinal directions but designing everything from sprites, levels and game mechanic is very tiresome when doing it by myself.

So I hope you give this game a decent rating that I may not sink under the sea!

Thanks again and have a nice day!

Thanks man !

Thanks pal !

I like the game ! It's surprising what you came up with with the restrictions attached! :)

Game broken :C

Error with the graphics :C

Overall difficult to play but I got it on the 8th try, cool game but why is this glitch happening ?

the main screen got overlayed with the game screen.

Somehow :C

I'm not a fan of idle clickers, but even then the game should try adding some animations that show what spamming the 0 btn is actually delivering.

What do I mean by this ?

1. when the player spam clicks the 0 btn there's a bar that fills up as long as you're in the job screen/menu but buying a CPU doesn't change anything except a just number.

2. there should be a function in the game whenever you buy something you're redirected to a page where you see that the upgrade has brought in a new change to whatever you're upgrading.

Ok : )

Can you check out my game too ?

There's literally no way to progress if player get's stuck here :C

Ok thanks a lot! I will remember!

"Don't give these details out publically" - So which details I shouldn't give out publically ?

Thank you so much for playing! 😊 Yeah, the gray color limitation was part of the challenge, but I’m really glad you still enjoyed the game! Your feedback means a lot. 🚀

Ok thanks I'll see what I can do but I'm low on time so can you suggest some way or some people who can playtest before I submit for the game jam ? Because I obviously won't play a one hour long text adventure for playtesting purposes..... Please let me know if that can be arranged or if someone would be willing....

I checked it on browser version and on my PC,  it's true the "Z" doesn't show up for the 2nd door with gear mechanism. But instead a lock symbol shows up when the door is locked. And the third door is working just fine when you unlock it by killing the first monster, the "Z" shows up on both my PC and the version I uploaded.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you found it interesting. I have some ideas for how it could evolve, so stay tuned for future updates. I'd love to hear what you'd like to see in the next version!

ok thanks, I'll tinker and see what I can do. But thanks for the feedback!

Cool stuff pal!

I actually rushed through to upload it before the submission time, so I didn't get time to fix that.

I'll fix it after the jam ends.

Thanks a lot for playing the game!

Also can you mention the parts where it got laggy please so that I can check if there's any error that needs fixing to get rid of the lag but sometimes internet connection is the problem.....

Hi, I hope you're doing well and having a pleasant day. I just have some questions since I'm new to this......

1. Is it ok to show the current location/situation of the player via graphics to keep the players entertained ?

2. Obviously, the picture's won't have any hints that are not mentioned via text. But if the hint is found by the player can I show it via graphics ?

3. This is related to the 2. question, can I maybe show unnoticeable hints(maybe a hooded figure, who is coloured in a darker colour so as to blend it with the background; and nobody can tell on a quick glance) via graphics sometimes and allow the player to find it via text input from keyboard (since they'll get curious and explore those items after looking at the graphic scene).

4. How descriptive the game has to be ? As I was playing the game "Who kidnapped Mother Goose" I noticed it doesn't offer that much player freedom as to like do things the player wants - for e.g. I was trying to take the dirty clothing from under the bed and wash it (in the game) but it said there's nothing under the bed that I can examine :C

5. When you say text adventure the idea isn't bad  but accounting for everything that you can use and not in the current player location - then coding it takes significant amount of time, so I don't want to make something like that (mentioned in point 4 example that I stated -the bed one) because a player won't be intrigued/curious to find/examine things if it's all text especially children. So how big should my story be to be eligible for the win ?

It's a cool game mate! I liked how the simple mechanic kept the game simple but challenging truly lives up to the theme "The Grind".

It's designed to only shoot when in idle mode, what I mean is that when you shoot using the spacebar you only press the spacebar and nothing else to successfully shoot at all.

It's a game mechanic, also thanks for playing my game !

The controls of the game are very well made, as well as the graphics. but after the first quest I didn't find any way to progress further. The small ledge couldn't be be jumped on, I tried several times but............

:(   :C

I get that but what does "design-and-develop-three-type" mean ?

I mean I understand the types pretty well but how many game they need made ?

(1 edit)

What I think preliminary topic means is the theme of the game jam and the "Time is the enemy" is just a mechanic specification.

Hope this helps! If it does help you would love to leave a follow ?

Hi what do you exactly mean by

"design-and-develop-three-type-roguelike-game:topdown ,card game , Horizontal" ?

Do I need to make 3 games ?

define it elaborately in simple words please!

Cool concept! I like it! Did you plan and design the whole game by yourself ?

Hello DeanDoesDev, cool game but the enemies doesn't have a healthbar or anything to let the player know if you did damage the enemy or not...also remove the screen shake after gun change that way it'll more cool

ok thanks pal!

For this jam ?

Hi can you tell me what is the size (in pixels) of the skeleton with the axe on it's shoulder ?

Also can we use game engines other than unity ? Like gdevelop ?

thanks for your reply

Hi,

There are three colour palettes namely - original, harsh and gray. So can I use all six colours or just two colours per colour palette meaning I get to use only two colours. ?

Thanks in advance for your time and reply

Thanks a lot for your reply! It helped a lot!

Hi, I hope you're doing well, umm... so....

1. Do I need to portray historical events exactly as it is, or I can add a spin to the story to make it a little different.

2. The theme is history, so can it be anything from the past? For example could it be history of objects or eatables or places...etc.

3. The discord link is broken and I can't join the discord channel

4. Educational - How much educational does it have to be ? Like portray known history as it is or with a spin to the real story or bring forward history that is less known. If it has to be about less known history then which genre ? Gourmet, festivals, cultures or something else please clarify.....since the word history makes it vague and I'm pretty bad at deciding things when there's a lot to choose from...

It's mentioned that the theme will be mentioned on start day.... but it's not announced yet! What shall we do ??

Thanks a lot for your reply swagshaw  ! Now I'm waiting for the start of the game jam to start putting all the good things together!

Thanks again !

bryengx,

thanks a lot for your reply, but can I use assets that are CC0 ? That won't disqualify me right ?

So I have 2 questions....

1. I am making my game on Gdevelop, so can I use assets that are available in the gdevelop community for free ?

2. Can I make several rooms with 1 boss monster each or do I have to spawn all the boss monsters in one room ?

Please answer !!

Hi everyone, I hope you'all are doing well. If you're looking for Voxel characters for a medieval fantasy style 3d game then check out my asset, also I'm open to suggestions for design changes, I will be adding more characters in the future.

Asset link: https://wiz-programmer.itch.io/voxel-swordsman

Thanks a lot for your suggestion! I'll work on the idea you gave me and try to come up with 10-12 different forms or types of trees.

Thanks again !
