Yep, the other person who wanted it wound up having to drop the project so feel free to!

Heya! That sounds cool! Feel free to

This made me realise I left in a typo while noodling with the text haha. It should be fixed now if you redownload MCJ20

Yep, nobody's claimed it yet!

I added a handful of covers to this pack!

Yep yep. No need to ask for my approval by the way, you can just post you've claimed it if you're fairly sure nobody else has done so already. Just so you don't feel like ya have to wait on me if you have a cool idea haha

Nobody else's flagged it, so go for it!

To get things rolling, I've designed some covers: https://witchbreak.itch.io/mock-cover-jam-3-covers

If you want to just toss up a few cover designs for someone to use without making a project page on itch, post them here!

Please claim the cover you intend to use in this thread! If you later decide to drop the project, please let folks know the cover you were designing for is now available again!

Ribbon Drive is an absolute gem of a game and I adore it. I try to play it at least once a year.

I forgot. There are lesbians in this game

No lesbians included in this game 😔

Hello! There's a downtime activity called Meditate you can take to recover spent Essences. The details for it should be on page 83. I'll be sure to add a note to the essences section about that in the future!

Heya! There's a google sheet link on page 88! I should also probably put that up at the top of the document again hahah. Currently there's no Witchbreak Discord.

No worries! Pdfs are a bit of a janky format

I did upload with the same name so if you redownload it should be the fixed version

Fixed!

Good catch! I'll work on uploading a fix over the weekend

An analogue project would be sth you don't necessarily need a computer to play. A LARP, a TTRPG, materials for either. A short story, a board game, or something similar would also qualify!

If you find something particularly inspiring related to the theme of the jam, feel free to share it here, be it a picture, a story, an article or whatever else!

Exchange ideas, talk about the game you have in the works, or just meet some cool folks in the ttrpg community in this thread! If you're struggling with something, don't be afraid to ask for help here!

Hell yeah, glad you had a good time!

I'm fine doing an extension! Especially since June's been kicking my ass as well hahah. This is a very casual thing so it's no problem at all

It's probably not happening, sorry!

Heya! I think you need to go to the page and press an "Approve" button somewhere -- might need to navigate to the "Edit the bundle" page. Itch stuff is confusing hahah

This should work I think!

Alright, I put together the bundle. Now y'all just need to approve it and we're good to go!

Heya! Wound up having some delays since I extended the jam for a week and then immediately went out of town after it ended, but I should be able to put the bundle together today-tomorrow and hopefully start on Monday

Oh hell yeah! The Pokedex is already kinda just full of folklore so leaning into that for your game could be cool. I'm interested to see what you come up with!

Thinking about making a game inspired by the six wives of Henry VIII . You play as the wives called together by Catherine Parr who's a necromancer to get revenge on the king. Anna of Cleves is probably like a cool huntress or the face, and the other four are various undead.

No worries! I'm excited to see what you came up with

From the Kitab al-Bulhan (Book of Wonders), here are a couple of pages, one of which features a wonderfully round crab representing a constellation, as well as some birds and snakes from a folk tale. I love these depictions of animals, with their wonderful shapes, as well as the chaotic way the text is laid out here. You can browse the full book here.

This gorgeous spread depicts the 7 Anglo-Saxon kingdoms, with notes about each. It's a beautiful piece and I love the way it depicts geography through book layout and text placement.

Over the course of this jam, I'll be posting various particularly inspiring images with some commentary in this thread. Hopefully you'll find something you can make use of, or find something to inspire you.

Starting us off is the German incubula where the illustration in the banner for this jam originates. The incubula includes several partially coloured woodcuts depicting various figures dancing with death. You can browse it here.
