Thanks for taking time to listen to all the tracks.  Your feedback is much appreciated.

The narrative arc for entire OST is somewhat lacking, or perhaps it's simply incomplete. I need 3 or 4 more tracks to really complete the whole story. Now that I have had some time to breathe and sit with music and concepts for a bit, I can finish creating and putting together the missing pieces. I hope to get back to this project soon. I also have some art and animation to add to the mix.

Thanks for listening! So glad you enjoyed it.

The timbres you choose work so well together. I like the acoustic guitar, pizz strings and marimba combination. Your melodies are well crafted, the subtle variation upon repeated motifs, so good. I can feel the nostalgia tugging at my sleeves, especially in tracks Ghostly Steps and Recollections. There is such a sadness that well up inside me when I listen to Forgotten Memories, along with a hint bitterness. The harmonies you use are gorgeous, and the piano work is remarkable.

A big thank you taking time to listen and give feedback.

Many thanks for listening and for such flattering comments.

Yah! Ravel and Debussy are an influence for sure. Thank you for the compliments and for taking time to listen. Thanks for the discord plug too!

Thank you for listening and for your feedback. So glad you enjoyed it.

The light and airy melodies you create for the main theme are effective at evoking a spring feeling, buds and blooming, birds fluttering, everything beginning anew. I like the rhythmic pattern and flowing melody in wake up the fireflies. The dissonant chromatic notes slip into some passages add a certain charm and reinforce the human element in your design.

I particularly enjoyed the contemplative atmosphere you create in laying in the grass. I can imagine the velvety grass and staring up at the clouds, and there is a tinge of something somber here too that I cannot quite put my finger on. The extended harmonies in chamber of reflection are a breathe of fresh air, and there are some Debussy-like moments that melt my heart. Excellent work.

The urgency of Led by Light had me on the edge of my seat. I love all of the bursts of colors, bristling textures, and the mercurial melodic material. What an exhilarating ride, and a real breathe of fresh air. You create a fantastic portrayal of all the creatures swirling below, then emerging from water, taking flight. Your music evokes a breathtaking scene!  I would love to hear more.

I am deeply grateful for you taking the time to write such a detailed response.

Re: Mezmar’s Maze, yes, I had two separate tracks panned to either side.

As for my overall approach, I often write out in prose what I want to happen with the instrumentation, pitch collections, textures, etc. Once I have a road map of sorts, I attempt to start composing it all. Some ideas might magically work the first try, and others just utterly fail. I am back and forth from the piano scribbling down ideas on manuscript paper to working in notation software and a DAW. It all comes together eventually.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review.

You are too kind. Thank you so much, your compliments mean a lot.

You create such an excellent soundworld for exploring watery realms.

The harmonic progression in the sun is gone, but my pain stays stirs up a nostalgia. I can imagine the girl escaping to a secret place for a good sulk. I do like those otherworldly sound effects.

The straightforward harmony and melody capture that cozy atmosphere, and then you add some nice twists and spice to that. I dig those funky rhythms and chromatic lines in helping an old hermit crab organize her snail magic books.

You’ve got some fun and quirky titles that summon so many cute and wacky images.

Your last track does such a good job of wrapping everything up. I love the intimate opening and how you revisit that idea. Thanks for such a fun adventure.

Thank you. Your feedback is much appreciated.

The arpeggiated chords of the warped tape piano combined with the undulating pad that I cannot quite define are mesmerizing. I like how your stirring melody floats effortlessly above the flurry of texture. I love those little bursts of waterphone-esque overtones.

In Streetlamp Sabotator, I imagine a character who is meticulously and desperately attempting to arrange precise moments in an alternate timeline in order to prevent some catastrophic event from occurring. Time is running out… and boom! You really ramp up the intensity at 1.25. What a moment!

I love those alien transmissions intervening, as if we are switching to another timeline or parallel dimension where we get to experience the same subject from a seemingly impossible point of view. Maybe we are watching our future or past selves, or some event that we keep coming back to but as different character.

Those tempo fluctuations feel like someone/something is manipulating time and space, so good.

I feel like we return to the lighthouse in Morning. Did we accomplish the mission, or are we doomed to repeat the cycle again?

Your composition and production skills are excellent. I love how you put this project together. I love the abrupt shifts in texture and dynamics, so effective. Your soundtrack kicked my imagination into overdrive!

You created an excellent soundtrack for gazing into the night sky and getting lost in lights of celestial bodies. The ostinato line in the piano of Perseids and it’s gently swirling pads entrance the listener, pulling them deeper into your soundworld.  These tracks take me back to a time when I was a child, my father pointing out various constellations and telling me stories of how they came to be, spending hours staring at the wonders of the infinite night. Quite a skillful fist submission. Congrats. I’d love to hear more.

I can imagine meandering in the soggy weather snapping photos in Rainy Stroll. The synths you use compliment one another nicely.  Diashow pulls me into a serene and somewhat contemplative state. It's such a sooting way to round out the tracks. I really enjoyed the story and game concept. Your pictures are fantastic!

Whoa! Your music a quite impressive for someone just embarking on their composing adventures. You have great intuition when it comes to the pacing, phrasing, putting ideas together in general. There are some fleeting moments of bitonality, a refreshing approach, and fits your interpretation of the prompts. The sudden shift in texture at 2.25 in Where People Used to Be is really effective. You wrote some wonderful conversations between the instruments, like the melodic interplay between the horns and stings in Gathering the Town around 1.10 and 1:30. Your instrumentation is ambitious at this level. Congratulations on pulling off such a big endeavor.

Your use of traditional instruments and modes works so well for creating that classic Celtic soundworld. You make good use of traditional articulations, rhythmic patterns, and melodic doublings typical of the style. I can still hear your own voice carefully woven into the traditional fabric. I love the mystical atmosphere you create in The Origin Pool. The pacing of your tracks is well done. Thank you for all the effort you put into the story. It was such a fun adventure.

I am absolutely floored and overwhelmed with the warm and fuzzies. You took so much time to listen and provide such a detailed response… I’m kind of lost for words. I love your interpretations of each of the tracks. Your descriptions and feelings are pretty much exactly what I was trying to convey and evoke. It’s a little eery, as if you somehow crept inside my cobwebbed cranium, but in the best way possible of course.

I really cannot thank you enough for such a thoughtful review.

Many thanks for listening and giving me feedback. I appreciate the wonderful compliments :)

Thank you. Your comments about the orchestra sounding natural and organic is huge compliment. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and leaving a kind reply.

Thank you for your comments and for taking time to listen. I had the most fun creating the Mezmar track; I'm glad you enjoyed it. Some of the first orchestral music I was ever exposed to came from the scores to cartoons/animations. The influence must still have a hold on me, at least subconsciously.

You create such fun and addictive melodies. The reoccurring melodic motifs you weave throughout the score tie things together nicely. Trapwater Beach has an almost spy/detective feel I can imagine Sally moving in and out of the shadows, and then you sneak in that tender ending. I love the pitch bendy goodness on that track too. The little intermissions you give us, like A Moment of Peace and A Moment of Hope, add a nice change of pace and give our ears time to rest a bit. Your pacing throughout the soundtrack is really well done, and that can be a tricky thing to accomplish. Thank you for such a fun adventure!

The delicate piano and ethereal synths of Colors lure in the listener. You do a great job of creating an otherworldly atmosphere with the combination of the light rhythmic textures and the mode you use in the melodic material. I enjoyed the contrast of a more prominent beat in Heartbeat, while you still maintain that entrancing glimmer.

Drifting was well crafted, with melodic and harmonic interest. I enjoyed those unexpected notes that peeked out of the texture every now and again. Even if you feel likes it is a work in progress, your music music still tells a story, and I thoroughly enjoyed the different places that it took me. You Were Here Too has an intimacy and reassurance that wraps things up nicely.

Yes, there is much magic to discover here. I love the unique instruments you use, and how they pair with timbre of your voice. There are many haunting moments. I particularly enjoyed the guitar work and gentle vocals of Magic Over the Water. The melodic lines and modes you use create a since of the ancient.

Thank you for taking time to listen to my music, and for all of your kind comments.

The ethereal atmosphere you create in The Beach, Under the Summer Stars, Salt Marsh, and Submerged Secrets, pull me from the mundane and into your mystical town by the sea. Your imaginative names for each track help paint the setting for each of the wondrous places that you guide us through. An adventure awaits in each of these lovely gems.

I love the energy in these tracks. You craft those bluesy melodic lines so well, how one phrase leads so nicely to the next. Yes! Those sound effects add so much zany charter to The Best Last Day. I like the conversation you create between the two instruments in that opening section. When you veer over to the minor around 1.15 mark, so good. All those minor chords create this slightly creepy carnival feel, and is great contrast to the rest of the piece. Your soundtrack is infectious fun!

Ah, such a pleasant and cozy soundtrack. At Day's End captures the satisfaction of day well spent, and time to wind down into a relaxing evening. I like the variety of instruments you use. I particular like the clarinet melody in Letters by the Sea.

Yes, the microtones are delightfully unsettling in places. I like the dies irae type motif in Apotheosis. I like the head-bobbing beats and  abrupt breaks. I can imagine some otherworldly elements and perhaps the character going through some sort of transformation.

The melodies and harmonies are straight forward and effective. Your choice of timbre adds to the intimate and cozy atmosphere. I had fun imagining catching fireflies while listening to your pleasant tracks.

The dreamy distortion and oscillating intervals is a great opening on Summer’s Last Night. The production is excellent, and I love how tight the rhythm section is. You perfectly capture that feel good mood with a tinge of nostalgia. Those ethereal, entrancing vocals float languidly above the other instruments, and that second vocal line is melting my soul. I really love this track.

You do such a good job creating that feeling of bittersweet in Same Place, Years Later. Again, those sighing vocals, they are a hug and a heartbreak at the same time, so good. Your concept is so relatable too. When I listen to your track, a flood of memories flutter through me,  inviting me to linger with them for a while.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your music.

Many thanks for taking time to listen and another big thanks for such a detailed reply. Your words are very kind. I am thrilled that you experienced some of the concepts I attempted to portray. I'm on cloud nine :)

Thank you for listening. Yeh, I might have gotten carried away with the violin :)

Thank you so much for the feedback and for taking the time listen.

Thank you for taking the time to listen, and for the compliments.

Thank you you very much. That is big compliment and makes me feel ecstatic.

I like how you keep your instrumentation simple and your succinct delivery of the theme.
