Finally, the update with my favorite cute fox is here. Thank you!

I can't say for sure since I haven't read the novel, well... maybe a little. But Eclipse answered hesitantly, as if it were a spoiler. But if it is a spoiler, then something must happen to Liam - like he might die, or turn out to be the main antagonist, or something along those lines. Because otherwise, I don't see any reason not to answer my question with a clear yes or no. I don't think a romance between MC and the lynx would be that major of a plot twist.
Besides, personally, I don't want to feel disappointed again by expecting a romance between characters that might not happen. That's exactly why I asked, so I could know for sure.
Of course, MC was treated well, - all because he had the label *Chosen One of Prophecy* hanging over his head. I’m sure no one would’ve cared about him if he’d just been a nobody. The only person who’s honest with the MC is Alex, who outright says he doesn’t give a damn who the protagonist is, since he doesn’t believe in prophecies. To him, the MC is just an annoyance.
True. But if I were him, I’d still want to know why this is being done to me - what’s his endgame, and is there any actual benefit for me? The other side’s no better than the Dark King. The city hailed the protagonist as a hero, handed him weapons, and barked orders. Nobody cared that the MC was a complete greenhorn who literally couldn’t do anything. They piled sky-high expectations on him, then when he inevitably screwed up (predictably), they blamed him for everything and exiled him- along with the entire guild, despite their backbreaking work for the city’s sake. After that kind of treatment, you start wondering: why even bother saving this damned city and its people?
What annoys me is that the MC doesn’t even try to understand the antagonist’s motives. He’s like a mindless puppet handed a sword and told, "YOU’RE the hero, and THAT guy is the embodiment of evil—you MUST kill him!" And so, the hero mindlessly charges in, swinging his sword without asking a single question. What’s worse, the Dark King has reached out to him mentally multiple times. I was hoping for at least some NORMAL conversation with the antagonist, but the protagonist just acts like a brainless child, constantly screaming, "I’m the hero here, and I’ll kill you!" without ever asking a single reasonable question.
It would be interesting to see an alternate version of the story where MC secretly aids the antagonist. If the whole corruption theme is just a lazy setup for a generic "good vs. bad" ending, that would be disappointing—at least for me as a reader.
SPOILERS!!!
Thanks for new update.
Will there be an option in the future to switch sides and voluntarily join the Dark King? Also, to convince your lover to join you? Perhaps if you accumulate enough corruption points. But the main character should choose this path themselves, not be forced into it. It would be great to take revenge on the city that exiled you. Plus, it would make the story more diverse.
When is there going to be an update with Alex? A normal update, not a five minute read? It's so unfair that the relationships with the other characters are somehow moving forward, and with Lynx it's like they're treading water. At least it would have come down to a kiss, I would have been happy with at least that.
*Because I'm really tired seeing more and more ignorant and illiterate "writers" trying to do something not only without understanding basic rules of storytellling*
Don't have to know the basic rules of storytellling to write a good and interesting story. I don't understand idiots who look more at grammar and other crap instead of the content of the game itself. Besides, every writer has their own style.
You learn from mistakes, how else can you start creating something if you don't try?
I think you need to smooth out the edges of this project. Make the demo of this game a little better, fix the mistakes, and then write a couple chapters of the story. After that, publish a new demo.
Regarding the story. I would advise you to write a backstory of the characters, at least the backstory of the MC at the beginning. Where he's from, who he is, where he's going, etc. At least briefly. Because right now it looks like two strangers met and went somewhere for unknown reasons, -Why? - Just because...
Let's say the protagonist can share his live story with Fox as they walk down the road. The fox might say something brief about himself in return.
From my point of view it is important that at least something about the main character is known at the beginning of the game, otherwise it feels like a gap.
You can write this VN, you did well for a start, don't give up)
I liked it. The writing style is good, the fox is cute, and thank goodness he's not a bara muscular man, the sight of which makes me sick. IMHO. As someone already said, you need to correct the scale. Still, the thing that caught my eye the most is that the fox's head, in some moments, is disproportionate to his body, it seems too big. And the legs sometimes seem too thin. Maybe a less realistic visual style of AI model would look better, but maybe not.
The music is nice, just in the theme of the atmosphere of the game.
Special thanks for the animalistic style of the fox, (Paws, claws, etc.). Hopefully the contents of the his pants will also be different from human)
I don't understand the hatred towards AI. It's the same imaging tool as a painter's brush, and just like a brush, AI needs to be mastered to create good art or animation.
Besides, there are a lot of visual novels on this site with frankly ugly artwork, but they are praised only because they are hand drawn, it hurts me personally to look at such, I would rather look at AI art than scribbles of kindergarten level.
I wish you good luck in creating this VN, and will wait for new updates.
Btw, what kinds of anthropomorphic animal characters will be in the game? Some cute lynxes won't appear in it by any chance?)))
Spoilers...
Dave, for some reason, really wants to be a hero and save the world. The definition of the word *Hero* is someone who gets other people killed. Here's the result. The main character should have negotiated with the snow leopard instead of mindlessly swinging his sword around like a moron. Or at least start thinking with his head instead of his ass. (IMHO)
But the talk was about Alex, so whatever happens, I'll keep waiting for that cute lynx.
P.s. You'd better mark your post as a spoiler.
