Lovely to see people still playing this, hope you're enjoying the game! Been a while since I dipped into the rule book so had to check myself but yes that seems to be a typo. I'll add a note to the page description when I get a chance :)

Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing! We've already started adding how to play elements and tool tips into the game :)

Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah we didn't get a chance to add tool tips/tutorial but the tool tips are already in on the newest build :)

Thanks so much! Maddie had loads of fun making those 😇

Thanks so much! We're already working on more :)

Fun vibes in this one and ran well. I liked it but I had a couple small gripes:

  • It was maybe a little easy. Enemies didn't seem to pose much of a threat and were pretty slow
  • The mario galaxy style planet maps are really fun and flavourful but a bit of a nightmare to orient yourself on. There weren't enough landmarks other than the lasers to actually know where I was going so finding the lasers was a bit annoying. So much so that:
  • I didn't actually realise that I had left a planet before it was completed. The first desert planet still had a laser that I must have missed somewhere because I didn't realise until the next planet that it should have gone all brown and shooting a red beam when it was done. I carried on and got to the final planet but couldn't figure out a way to get back onto the previous planets so I think I was soft locked

Really well made and great style. As others have pointed out, everything feels really cohesive with all the UI elements moving the beat and such. Fun theme and great artwork, maybe the music could have been a bit more present and with some more time it'd be nice to have more musical sound effects for the spell cassettes.

I really love the core idea as well, having to balance how many power ups vs. how many offesive abilities, picking which things go first so you can sequence fire into disco balls or make sure that your most powerful spell sticks on screen for long enough etc. It's really smart, well done!

Really creative idea and was super fun to play. Love that when you get a decent platform spread at the end you get a pretty competent little melody to listen to at the end point. That feels like good level design to me! Had a good curve of challenge and didn't overstay its welcome.

My old feedback would be that sometimes the notes were a little too rigid to the beats and would end in places I wouldn't have expected them to be. Maybe have one more subdivision you can start a note on but have a minimum length?

As a suggestion I'd say you could do some interesting things if you can't draw whilst you're in the no sound zones (love the muting btw!)

Love the vibes of this! I was pretty bad at it though haha. Themeing is excellent and music and visuals were really fun. I think I would have appreciated a bit of a longer reach on the swing poles, by the time I was able to attach to them they ended up being more of a detriment so you had to be super accurate

Wow, this is absolutely phenomenal work for such a short amount of time. Gorgeous visuals, great music and sound design, runs perfectly, great concept and executed so well. I can't believe you didn't spend months on this. Bravo

They're so much more complicated than you'd think aren't they? hahaha

I really loved this, great work and it looks fantastic. Not much in the way of constructive criticism, it's super well made. My only let down was the audio feedback was pretty much nonexistent which made it feel a bit sparse. A bit more animation on player input would nice in fact, some subtle screenshakes etc.

Really fantastic stuff though, well done!

Okay so I really like the concept for this, having your whole keyboard as a guitar hero controller makes a lot of sense because a lot of us have grown up touch typing already. the visuals were good and it felt like the timing was about right.

My big piece of feedback is that it's quite monotonous to hit everything right on the beat over and over again. The fun thing about rhythm games is the variations in rhythm as you play through, hitting syncopation and triplets and trying to get yourself back into the rhythm after you mess up a note. Because the game was basically just waiting for me to hit whatever key it was on on my own time, only worrying if I'm on the beat when I do so, there didn't feel like there was much at stake.

And this one is tricky to do with such short time but, I need some music! :)

Sorry for the wall of text, I'm passionate about this evolving haha

Took me a little while to realise that I needed to keep drawing loop to loop, not start and stop again! Nice idea although the levels felt a little bit cramped and drawing without hitting something was a bit tricky for me

Sorry to say I had a lot of trouble with the slide mechanic, my character kept getting stuck so I struggled to see much of the game

Cute idea! I had a couple of runs and was trying to understand why some of my adaptions had happened, maybe in a future build there's a clearer explanation of what lead to the change it decided upon? Otherwise it feels a little random

This is super well made, congrats! You really captured the unending monotony of having to keep on top everything as an adult. It's exhausting! Lovely art and sound design, great vibes. Maybe a little too close to home though :')

Thanks for playing, can't wait to show off a new build!

Thank you for playing!

Ah my bad, didn't spend enough time with it. So many games to try! haha

Thanks so much, glad you like it!

Love the visuals and the DOOM rock soundtrack. Gameplay is very smooth and felt fun to play but I will say the bow is super overpowered haha. I was wiping out enemies in a single shot and every time I tried another weapon I just felt about 10x less powerful. It's super satisfying to use but might need nerfing a little. Good job!

Nice visuals and music! I found the perspective made it a bit difficult to judge when I was about to crash into an enemy. Was very confusing seeing them come from behind the camera

Really gorgeous aesthetics and a cute and cosy game loop. Not sure if I just didn't get far enough but some kind of stakes/fail state might be worth including? Either way, super well made in such a short time

Really well made and polished, a solid enough idea that seems easy to expand upon

Thanks so much!

We didn't get a chance before the deadline unfortunately but they're already in the newest build I'm working on :) Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Shields are in but they can only be obtained from the Restful Night encounter or bought from a merchant. They can be used to defeat a monster if you don't have enough swords/potions

So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing! We've had a couple people say their ball got stuck so I'm adding a little more bounce to the pegs and maybe a nudge button

Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoyed it! We didn't have time to add tool tips before the deadline (it's in the game now but submissions are closed) but everything is explained in the page's description :)

Thanks so much! Yes we had a bit less time as we only realised the game jam was happening a day into the jam unfortunately. If we had an extra day I'd definitely spend some time tutorialising and balancing. There's a full how to play in the description though if you missed anything

Thanks so much!

The slow down when you hit an upgraded peg is intentional if that's what you mean? :') Just a cool effect to make it look more flashy when you combo off. So glad you enjoyed it though! And we're definitely keen to add more :)

Thanks so much for playing!

Thanks so much! We're really keen to carry it on and add some complexity :)

Definitely something we're adding in a new version post voting. Thanks so much for playing either way!

Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it! We've got that moving pegs bug fixed at the moment but unfortunately after submission closed haha. We're planning to add some actual tutorialisation and better balancing etc. in our next version!

Once we've got a little more time we're keen to tweak the balance and add some more progression! Think of this as a vertical slice but one we're very proud of :)

Thanks for playing! Yes with some more time we'll polish up the physics :)

Not bad! Might be worth expanding with a few more minigames to stop it getting stale. Very cute as is though
