I'm really impressed by your score, I was maxing out around the 3000 mark so very well done.
The rooms loop, as a reference to the theme (it's a small world), so going right or looping back wouldn't have changed much.
The initial idea has a second enemy type and a merchant who allowed the player to increase their max health/lower the poison rate but done being better than perfect it got the axe to allow getting the game out .
