We liked your game so much we made a short about it!

The artwork and overall atmosphere is awesome. It reminds us of games we played when we were younger (in a good way) that were less about any super complex game loop and more about the simple joy of discovery (and dying in the wackiest ways possible). This is an exquisite addition to that genre. Great work!

We love the core concept of placing things along the track and then immediately jumping in to fight your way through the train. It compresses down all the satisfaction of planning an elaborate heist, pulling it off and inevitably having to improvise, all within just a couple minutes which is impressive. We'd love to see you expand on this idea and see if you can deepen that even further!

Great stuff! The upgrade synergies were juicy and it was overall really well polished. Hope to see you continue to make great games in the future

👏👏👏 My favorite version of the "your past lives help you solve the puzzle" mechanic. I feel like I'm watching those AI training videos but it's just me running into the same laser over and over again. Very cool!

The art and music are both gorgeous!! Amazing! Didn't feel like I super understood what my weapons were doing, so tips in the shop might be something to explore. Very cool nonetheless

Fun little game. Loved the goofy cards. Also the music is such an ABSOLUTE JAM - a complete delight! I lost a couple times even though I went over the score threshold. Not super sure why that was. Good game, good job!

Nifty! Keeping it simple, and I think that works well. A fun little game with only one control. Still, fun to try to keep up the speed!

Pretty interesting. I think with a bit more polish you could really have something on your hands here.  Definitely fun to explore the different tower options, and figure what the towers and enemies do. I'm impressed by the variety. Also, the camera shake when the towers shoot is genius. That makes it seem so impactful and really helps the battles feel chaotic and epic. That one little effect did a lot. I think a little more work on the sound design, effects and music, would really breath more life into the game and make it feel really cool. I think respawning with all your towers is really interesting. It's like exactly what the player wants in these kind of games, because after they die they immediately want to get back to where they were. However, I think it's a little at odds with the max tower mechanic. Once you've maxed your towers and you die, you can only put down one more and then you kind of have to wait to die again. These were just the things I noticed. On the whole, cool game and very impressive for a jam!

Top tier voice acting. Just the damage line of "Ow!" really made me giggle. Also, a genuinely interesting system where your health bar is also your stamina. Oozes colorful charm. Good work!

This game is actually genius. So impressed. Simple take on the theme, with a simple set of mechanics, executed absolutely incredibly. Once you get the hang of it, it is so satisfying, and so fun! One of the best action games I've played in recent memory. Can't gush enough about it. Clearly so much work went into this game, in a bunch of different ways, and it really made something special. Great work!!!

Oh my gosh, I think this game is so awesome!! The idea is so cool and it is surprisingly well polished!!! I would love more content! I think this game has so much potential, it really gets my imagination going. I would to really dig into a text of this conlang as more information is available, plus I think this would be such a interesting framing for a sci-fi narrative. Very interesting, would love to see more!

Fun game! I thought the rolling world, like in subway surfers, was a cool effect! Well put together, with a surprising amount of challenge

Thanks for the feedback, and we're glad you had fun! We definitely have a soft spot for ragdolls and goofy physics, so when we saw the theme we had to take advantage of the opportunity to make a game of our own with those things.

So glad you liked it! The AI wasn't actually that hard to make. The A* Pathfinding Project for Unity (which you can find a link to on the game page) really made it pretty easy to set up an enemy that would track the player and avoid other obstacles. Highly recommend, even though the free version is limited to simpler kinds of spaces. The rest of the AI wasn't bad either; the script is a little over 100 lines. That's not to say it didn't a long time and a bunch of sleep deprived debugging lol, but definitely doable.

Haha, we're glad that it's fun even when you feel like you're getting worse. 6 is a very solid score for a first run though, congrats! For all three of us on the development team, we got 0 on our first attempt so you're off to a stronger start than we were

It's definitely challenging, but hopefully feels rewarding to get better at it over time. We on the dev team think so, but we're obviously biased. 5 is a respectable score for sure. Glad you enjoyed!

We hadn't heard of Photo Dojo, but it looks like a blast! We're definitely a big fan of goofy local multiplayer. And that feeling of being dragged around was the main thing we were going for to really drive home the idea that you're playing the weapons, not just someone holding the weapons, so we're happy that came across. Glad you enjoyed!

Lots of fun! We put probably too much time into beating the dev time...felt great to control though and I love how much room there was for optimization.

This is an extremely impressive submission! The atmosphere is extremely cohesive and effective, the visuals are stunning, and the core mechanic of the game (the sacrifices) creates such an interesting consideration for the player. A continuation would be incredible to see. Thoroughly enjoyed playing!

Solid, fun flyer. This was a good execution on a classically fun idea. I think the theming was right on. Immediately got so into it. Good work!

This so impressive!!! I love this game and what you guys accomplished here! I could so easily see this being turned into a full Besieged-esk game, and I do think it would this would be such a fun way to teach programming. This is an awesome game and especially for a jam. Great work!

Adorable game, and surprisingly tough! I got so used to the skunk's iconic catchphrase "OKAY!" that I was taken aback at the end. The mechanics could easily be fleshed out into a longer puzzle game if you wanted to continue with it after the jam.

I like the models, it looks like a cute little game. It might be more fun without the weapon cooldowns. Solidly put together

Simple but very polished! The artwork is amazing (especially the evolving background) and the controls feel pretty good and very intuitive as well. Even though there is a definite (and satisfying!) ending, the score mechanic adds some replayability as you try to go back and improve your run.

This game is gorgeous, and I love the theming. Having multiple ways to move your guy around is fun. I got to say, I gave up at the laser corridor which was pretty tough, but I would love to see more of this game. It looks and feels pretty great

I am really impressed that you guys did all this in just js. Very cool! It is a hard game, which did make feel so frustrated and then so pumped when I finished a level. I think working on some quality of life improvements (making the trigger for when the knight turns around less sensitive, making the sword swing faster, or giving you more control over jumps) could make this a really fun game. Good work!

This a fun little game. I absolutely love the art and theming. The tongue in cheek commentary on war is great. Its a solid 2d physics game. Its a good time!

This is a pretty hard game, but it's fun and I quite like the gun as a platforming mechanic. It's kinda satisfying. Also, got to say, absolutely love the cute little cockroach on a gun; that and the other art in this game is awesome. Great work
