We liked your game so much we made a short about it!
The artwork and overall atmosphere is awesome. It reminds us of games we played when we were younger (in a good way) that were less about any super complex game loop and more about the simple joy of discovery (and dying in the wackiest ways possible). This is an exquisite addition to that genre. Great work!Weird Mage

We love the core concept of placing things along the track and then immediately jumping in to fight your way through the train. It compresses down all the satisfaction of planning an elaborate heist, pulling it off and inevitably having to improvise, all within just a couple minutes which is impressive. We'd love to see you expand on this idea and see if you can deepen that even further!Pretty interesting. I think with a bit more polish you could really have something on your hands here. Definitely fun to explore the different tower options, and figure what the towers and enemies do. I'm impressed by the variety. Also, the camera shake when the towers shoot is genius. That makes it seem so impactful and really helps the battles feel chaotic and epic. That one little effect did a lot. I think a little more work on the sound design, effects and music, would really breath more life into the game and make it feel really cool. I think respawning with all your towers is really interesting. It's like exactly what the player wants in these kind of games, because after they die they immediately want to get back to where they were. However, I think it's a little at odds with the max tower mechanic. Once you've maxed your towers and you die, you can only put down one more and then you kind of have to wait to die again. These were just the things I noticed. On the whole, cool game and very impressive for a jam!
This game is actually genius. So impressed. Simple take on the theme, with a simple set of mechanics, executed absolutely incredibly. Once you get the hang of it, it is so satisfying, and so fun! One of the best action games I've played in recent memory. Can't gush enough about it. Clearly so much work went into this game, in a bunch of different ways, and it really made something special. Great work!!!
Oh my gosh, I think this game is so awesome!! The idea is so cool and it is surprisingly well polished!!! I would love more content! I think this game has so much potential, it really gets my imagination going. I would to really dig into a text of this conlang as more information is available, plus I think this would be such a interesting framing for a sci-fi narrative. Very interesting, would love to see more!
So glad you liked it! The AI wasn't actually that hard to make. The A* Pathfinding Project for Unity (which you can find a link to on the game page) really made it pretty easy to set up an enemy that would track the player and avoid other obstacles. Highly recommend, even though the free version is limited to simpler kinds of spaces. The rest of the AI wasn't bad either; the script is a little over 100 lines. That's not to say it didn't a long time and a bunch of sleep deprived debugging lol, but definitely doable.
We hadn't heard of Photo Dojo, but it looks like a blast! We're definitely a big fan of goofy local multiplayer. And that feeling of being dragged around was the main thing we were going for to really drive home the idea that you're playing the weapons, not just someone holding the weapons, so we're happy that came across. Glad you enjoyed!
This is an extremely impressive submission! The atmosphere is extremely cohesive and effective, the visuals are stunning, and the core mechanic of the game (the sacrifices) creates such an interesting consideration for the player. A continuation would be incredible to see. Thoroughly enjoyed playing!
I am really impressed that you guys did all this in just js. Very cool! It is a hard game, which did make feel so frustrated and then so pumped when I finished a level. I think working on some quality of life improvements (making the trigger for when the knight turns around less sensitive, making the sword swing faster, or giving you more control over jumps) could make this a really fun game. Good work!
