Very nice! Popping a time-travelling lord into a story always improves it at least 100%, I find ;)

Cheers Cody - always appreciate your input! I've uploaded a new version that contains a number of adjustments based on your comments and playtesting!

Ha amazing :D For someone who is as obsessed as I am with apocalyptic fiction, I am remarkably unprepared for any kind of serious event! Maybe 2026 will be the year I get it together and sort out a go bag!

Thanks for your support - really appreciated! And let me know if you have any feedback -this has not been heavily playtested so I anticpate having to make some tweaks over the coming weeks.

Cheers Harry! I haven't quite decided, but it won't be long!

Looks like a lot of fun! Quick question - do you start the game with some fuel?

Awesome - thanks for the run-down of Axel's ill-fated journey! He did well to take down a snow leopard, and he won't be the last to be bested by those 'tamed' zombies!

Thanks - I read the version update as well - great to see the adjustments you've made. I'm now going to print out the updated version!

Hi Cody - just played a couple of games, I like it! A couple of questions for you...

1. Is Momentum good or bad? (Maybe your answer will be that it's not so straight-forward!) Updrafts are positive (the winds of fortune favor you) and can result in Momentum increasing, and you gain momentum for successfully completing a route .

And yet a hazard is overcome if you roll greater than or equal to your Momentum (implying that a lower Momentum value is better).

2. Windshifts - option 1 is 'a hazard returns', allowing you to reroll a previous hazard. Why might you want to do that?

And a sidenote - its a shame the Sky Anomalies only occur on a joker - I'm tempted to say they occur on aces as well to slightly increase the liklihood of them turning up :)

Ooh! Black Shuck is a folktale from my neck of the woods! The Black Dog of East Anglia. I happen to be going to a Black Shuck festival in a couple of weeks!

Amazing news - I'll be keeping an eye out for them :)

What a gorgous looking game - love the art (love your art wherever I find it - always a win when its included in a game) and the colour scheme.

Any chance of a physical release one day?

Thanks - glad you're enjoying it!

The great Great Deku Tree was the best! This looks fantastic - congratulations and keep up the good work!

What a fun game! If you like post-apocalyptic stuff and choose-your-own-adventure style tabletop solo games where a ton of imagination has gone into the encounters, npcs and quests, you really should check this out!

Glad you had fun running your emporium :D

Brilliant! Glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for sharing your playthrough!

Cheers Joey! Very cool to hear you're using it with your players!

Looks like a really handy resource - I'll be trying it out in a game soon!

Hi, thanks for letting me know about your NYZ playthroughs, it was cool to hear about your unlucky characters! Truth be told, the game is probably a little too hard to beat, but I'm glad you enjoyed it none-the-less!

Yup - the medical papers - they are mentioned in an event in the tunnel location later (they can help you out of a tricky situation). Probably they need some clarification somewhere, but space was pretty tight!

This is a great idea!

No problem, easily done! Hope you're enjoying the game!

Hi there, you have to roll equal to OR greater than the TN in order to pass. Here's an excerpt from the 'Facing a challenge' section of the rules:

To pass a test, you will have to roll equal to or greater than a target number (TN) on a D20, having added on a given trait.

Thanks Cody, your playtesting input was invaluable, not only in getting NYZ into a fit state for public consumption, but also in giving me ideas for a future expanded version! As you say, Escape The Zone clearly shows how this can be done and the amount of material I was forced to leave out of NYZ clearly shows me it would be worth putting together!

Glad you enjoyed it! Challenging is the word :D

Thanks for the kind words - I hope you manage to get out of New York alive!

Thanks! I'm disproportionately proud of it :D

These are superb! I'm making a game at the moment and will be using one of these - really appreciate you putting these together - I wouldn't have a clue how to make them myself!

Nice doodling!

Perfect, thanks! Almost added it on to my pledge, but had a flurry of game purchases this month and decided I had to draw the line ;)

Congrats on the new version! Quick question - will this be making its way to drivethrurpg for pod?

Oh awesome - I've seen this a bit on his yt channel - looks great and very cool to hear that you're publishing it. I take it that means that it'll be readily available somewhere in the UK - Iglootree (spotted their bookmark in with Eco Mofos)?

PS Chaoclypse is in the process of creating a self-contained solo rpg. Maybe you should get on at him about putting that out at some point too ;)

Ah cool - thanks for responding! I'm a fan of Chaocalypse and wanted to make sure I had everything he had put together for the game - glad its in the book. I'll keep an eye out for the fancy supplement though!

Just got my new book - stunning!

Quick question - is the Solo Mofos supplement going to be made available here at some point? I'm keen to check it out (and potentially use it on my yt channel, Lone Adventurer).

You're welcome - thanks for responding to my queries!

Hey there, just started playing my first game and I enjoying it so far! Brutal game though :)

I've a couple of observations.

1. On the occupants table at the top of p.7, there are two options for strangers (on a roll of 1 and a roll of 4-6). My suspicion is that a roll of 4-6 is intended to trigger an encounter with an enemy, rather than a stranger.

2. Should the starting location be randomised on a roll of D4? I ask because I assumed that you would always start at location 1, but then location 2 says 'if this was your starting location' so I guess you could start there as well?

3. In the scavenging section, it says 'Unoccupied rooms may be scavenged without making a test.' What test is necessary if a room is occupied?

Looks pretty sweet! Boring question - but what are the chances of a low-ink version? Just losing the dark backgrounds would be nice...

Hello! Glad you found the game challenging AND relaxing - kind of what I was aiming for :)

That's not a silly question, but its certainly something I didn't consider. I would say you can serve the same customer multiple times, either over separate days or in the same day. Otherwise, it's just another thing to think about!

Woop woop! Downloaded and added to my collection of Glide expansions I haven't yet used (but I'll get to it....oh yes)!

Obviously I'm quite biased and so would say a Sandworm full version, though I am curious about what a new Exclusion Zone adventure would look like!
