I want to blow up your table.

Okay, that's a bit much, but I hope you understand - this zine might kill your D&D characters.

"Catastrophic Issue" is my new monthly zine project to make and post a booklet filled to the brim with different ways to throw your precious tabletop roleplaying worlds into disarray in the monthly theme.

The zine series centres a main mechanic, that of Undercasting & Overcasting. These are juicy & tantalising fruits for your players to pick - a chance to use magic they shouldn't have... at great risk to themselves. If they fail - well, that would be a catastrophic issue; you see, each month includes a new random table of arcane disasters to torment your characters & scar the world. 
And I can't just leave it at a list of lousy troubles - we need tools, toys, & terrors that tie into our tables & themes, too!

This month's theme: 

The Five Agents

Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, & Water

• 58 pages of "research notes", game material, and wizard scribblings.
• A brief overview of how a 5 Agents system of East Asian tradition might work.
• A system & reasons to cause magical catastrophes in your games.
