Volmatic
Volmatic will manage your volume so you can relax and forget about your volume knob!
Why?
So when you watch a movie, browse internet, play a game or watch some video on any streaming website...
If the sound is low : Volmatic pumps your volume up so you can hear well!
If the sound is high : Volmatic lowers your volume to keep the noisiness within the limit of your choosing (the slider on the left)!
The result being leveled output and you get to hear well while not having your drums pierced, wife woken up, kids crying, neighbors calling the police or mom knowing how much you love PewDiePie.
How does this work?
Volmatic takes the peak value of your default audio output and computes it to get a desired volume.
It then applies it to your Windows volume (your default volume slider will move by itself all the time and that's perfectly normal).
Everything is done a few hundreds times per second for a CPU consumption under 0.5%.
Does it work with headphones?
Yes it does! In the advanced settings you can set a 'Maximum volume' to define how high Volmatic can go so it does not go all the way to up to 100%
Can I see it in action?
Sure! Please note : Youtube processes the sound when uploading a video so it might not be a totally accurate representation.
I would say that trying Volmatic by yourself is even better :)
What is the status of development?
Volmatic's development status is "1.0" but it will keep receiving updates.
I also crave for feedbacks so if a feature is requested, it might be implemented!
