So during character creation, can you spend those 3 points on a skill not on our list or only those 9n our career list?

I am confused by skill character creation. At the beginning, you add +1 to your career skills, in this case I was an agent. I got +1 Agility and +1 Education. I the rolled three terms, which says you have +3 skills, but not a maximum of +3 at character creation. So does that mean I just make sure my career skills are all at +3? And is that +3 with or without the attributes bonus and the +1 that you already added? And at character creation, these are the only skills you get?

Does signing or creating an account add anything? It asks for an invite code.

For the battlemaps, when printing, how do I ensure that the printed copies are 1" and not bigger or smaller?
