My game has been on itch.io for a while but it never has formally been announced on this platform (had some bugs before), so here we go!

Coup d’Koala is a BULLET HELL ROGUELITE focused on building synergies between spell cards and weapons to create powerful combos against enemies. Play as an exiled koala monarch sworn to expel the foreign usurpers of your country. Gameplay is focused around the traditional shoot and slash of bullet hell games like Enter the Gungeon and Risk of Rain, but with an ADDITIONAL LAYER OF BUILDING UNIQUE CARD-WEAPON SYNERGIES that will be critical for progressing. Dying is expected. Upgrade your character after each run, rise from the rubble again, and fight till you finally free your people.

(GIF below; looks grainy due to upload size limits on files on itch; the actual resolution in game is much better).

Customize your playstyle with over thirteen unique spells. Stack powerful cards in your deck, experiment, and reclaim your rightful throne.

Rise stronger with every fall. Unlock over 18 different powerful upgrades and transform defeat into domination—becoming unstoppable.

Available on browser play, Windows, MacOS, and Linux.

Check out my page for more details!

The build for the first ending is up! Unfortunately Unity has been extremely unkind to me this weekend and decided to nuke all the textures in the build containing the second ending when exporting, so the build with the second ending may not be available until that's fixed.

Apologies! I changed the executable name without changing the Data folder name. In theory, if you rename "Brackeys26_Data" to "Uncos_Data" it should work. If not, there's a fixed download link available as a Google Drive link on the itch page.

Thanks for the comment! We had major issues with Blender exporting into Unity, so unfortunately a lot of our textures got removed, but in our full release, we're planning to resolve the issue and have them in. Thanks for playing and hope you will stick around for our full release!

of course! we'll let you know :)

oh no! okay, we have to go in and fix that

ah yep, we're working on the ironing out the bugs! there's a bug with the beginning of the game, so it's not your fault at all. should be fixed in half a day to a day (most of the team stayed up all night working on the jam)

very fun :)

this game is so freakin awesome, i love it

I love this game so far! As a fellow indie game developer, I can definitely tell this game has a lot of heart and soul put into it. The visuals, sounds, and gameplay all mesh together so well. I believe this game is definitely worth donating to to support the amount of time spent developing it, and I will be donating.

I love this game! You pulled off the 4-color palette really well, and playing through the game left me hungry for even more levels.

This is such a cute game :), I would totally spend like an hour playing all the levels if there were 20+ levels.

Cool game! Just wondering what the hitboxes on the tutorial level dummy and dog are? It seems like they are much smaller than the models themselves.
Also would appreciate a setting to lower the resolution for the game! My crappy laptop unfortunately doesn't run 3D games too well unless there are resolutions as low as 1280x720, 1366x768, 1600x900 for example.
These two combined are unfortunately making it difficult for me to get past the tutorial.
