It's too realistic, I got an F. Game feels smooth and the art looks nice! Good job!

Hitting the gnomes and getting combos is super satisfying, also really liked the intro to the game/overall art. Well done!

Really cool concept and implementation of the theme! Looks surprisingly good too on browser! Nicely done!

I'm also getting some pretty hard lag at some points but from what I was able to play I really enjoyed it! I love physics in games and the pull/boost mechanics seemed to spark that. The art looks really good too!

The sonar ability is really cool, I also really liked how you put the tileset/environment together! Would have liked to see another level with some more difficulty but you put a lot of detail in the tutorial and the gameplay felt smooth.

Made me realize I'm not very good with managing money. Besides that, the ambient backdrop is really nice and the art is super cohesive! Really like the aesthetic and all the UI is satisfying to click through. Really well done!

The overall presentation is really nice! The menus and the animations are all smooth and satisfying. Also, there's also an impressive amount of mechanics implemented for the time we had, well done!

Would have been cool to have some kind of end goal, but good job with the pick up animations, I really liked them! Music fits the the character's experience honestly.

The presentation is so sick, was not expecting an intro cutscene! Seems the arrow key binding for jump is the only reliable one for me in terms of jump height just fyi. Really impressed with the visuals/effects, nicely done! The air bubbles during the sprint mechanic is a nice touch

Was able to reach the surface with 4 air bubbles left, but I cheesed it by staying in the bottom right of the screen. The music was cool and I like the sharks, they kind of remind me of the swordfish from Donkey Kong Country. Well done!

For some reason the rocks/meteors being affected by the gravity threw me off, but in a good way! I think having the player keep the same amount of momentum when in zero g would have been nice but not a big deal. Art is nice and cohesive, well done!

Presentation is super clean and it's actually pretty addicting! Well done

Super fun to watch your first impression of the game. Really appreciate you sharing this! The difficulty was definitely an oversight, seems a lot of people are getting stuck. Also, just to address something you said in the video, the height of your jump depends on the player holding the jump button/key, should have mentioned that in the "tutorial". Thanks again for the video! o7

The red screen blocks visibility a lot imo, but it's a really unique take on the limitation! I'm sorry I couldn't get him to the ambulance, he doesn't deserve this

Nailed the atmosphere, the soundtrack really suits the environment. Would of liked a bit more visibility but really cool!

It's a bit hard to tell where you're gonna land, would be nice if the camera would show what's underneath the player when falling. Nice use of the tiles though, and the online leaderboard implementation is really cool!

Came for the polished gameplay and cool perspective, stayed for the song warning me about my imminent death.

Really impressive environment considering how much time we had! Got a bit lost while mining and died right as I got back to the store, ggs

Cool concept! The UI is pretty clean too, well done!

Just fixed an issue that caused Keyboard and Mouse inputs to not register in my game. If you happened to try my game out before the fix and couldn't play, I would appreciate you checking it out again. Even if you haven't, please try it out and rate it!
I'll try to check out as many submissions as I can now and leave feedback. o7

Just updated the build with a fix for keyboard/mouse if you wanna try the game out!

Great take on the theme! I thought of "sanity decay" for the jam as well but couldn't find a way to go about it. Making all the game sounds with your voice was a nice touch too. Well done!

I'd have to agree with the comment below about dashing off the edge, but it does add an element of difficulty to timing the boosts. Very fluid controls though! Cool art style as well. Well done!

The art is suuuper cool, great idea for theme integration as well! Had some trouble getting back into the ship if I wasn't blasting the jetpack but it was negligible after a while. Well done!

This is so good, I love the execution of the theme. Really well done! Made me feel like I was a kid playing Jumping Flash while my uncle was drunkenly ranting about politics in the same room. Laughed out loud a couple times
10/10

Yeah they're sodium ions haha, I admittedly had that as a placeholder until I thought of something better but time was running out so I just rolled with it. Thanks for the criticism!

This is so sick! Love the overall aesthetic and feel. Really nailed it.

Love the art and the rotating world perspective! Would be cool to see some rocket flames being emitted even without the powerup on.

Great idea for the twist! I'd agree with Volder about the difficulty, would be nice if your movement was also affected after defeating every bird. Congrats on your first game/jam as well! Keep at it!

Loved the UI and overall presentation, the punchiness of the projectiles is super satisfying as well! Would be cool to be able to shoot by holding down the button as well so you could focus more on the jetpack mechanic.

Good point, particle system not being available in 2D stumped me, I'll have to work on adding effects and tighten up the visuals. Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you!

Thank you! Just updated it with a few new graphics and some bug fixes. I'll definitely be fleshing it out with some additional features in my free time.
