I wish it had a tutorial or more guidance. I did really like the art and it was impressive how much went into the concept. Keep it up!

The art style is sooo cute, sold me on the game. I couldn't beat it because I wasn't super clear on the rules all the time, but I enjoyed it none the less.  5/5 stars for visuals for sure!

Like the premise a lot! it took me a sec to figure out how to progress but I managed eventually.
Unrelated note:Did you know your game technically violates the Geneva Convetion? It's actually super common for developers and even tv show producers to accidentally do war crimes. Basically, red cross bad, copyrighted and protected by international law. Green cross okay.

I don't get it. is it just door falls on you? I never made it past either door.

It's very well done, amazing visuals, I will be using this game as an example of "juice" whenver explaining it to new developers. I am having a hard time believing it was made during the jam though, given that it doesn't fit the theme at all... The theme is there at least partially to limit start times

I don't know Penguin Diner, what system/console/platform is it for? Thanks for playing!

The concept triggerred me more than the game. WHY DO PEOPLE EAT OTHER'S LUNCH???

the transition animations and character art is great!

Thank you! I wanted to do so much more, but ran out of time!

Clearly I'm no good at embezzling, I was losing money every day! tons of fun

wow thank you! I don't think anyone else has played all the way to the last update! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks! The sound actually changes if you do much better in the game =)

It was intentional! Although I had to cut a lot of planned content due to time. Originally there was going to be an upgrade that made lies easier to see through.

Interesting concept! Loved the shop and stats system, it was super hard to discern who lies and who doesn't. I'd suggest a more fleshed out expedition results screen.

The font was a little hard to read but I like the concept! The combat was super hard for me though. kept losing at the first monster

Isn't it? I find myself playing my own game! lol

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it.

The cover art and music were really nice! I would make the "start game" button a bit bigger and maybe add a bit more gameplay.

I am not! But Lulu is =) Thanks for playing!

I really liked this one. The mechanics were there to keep the story going, the dialogue was interesting and sufficiently short, loved the ending.  One of my favorites. The pixel art was on point!

It's hard to ask this question without spoiling too much, but how is it possible to do the thing at the end if the thing was empty when you first get it?

anyway, loved the story.

This game is heavy with atmosphere but light on gameplay. I'd expand on some of the mechanics like, asking people about clues, or ways to "Fail" by showing people the wrong clue or asking the wrong question. Good job with the modelling in such a short time

it  was fun trying to figure out who was who. Love your art aso

This game really highlight my day!
Playing through the whole thing was illuminating.
Loved the bright idea of the fake OS.

Yeah that bug is super hard to pin down, thanks for playing and thanks for your feedback!

Yeah originally I was going to make a "Safe discard area" but I ran out of time. Maybe I'll add it in after the jam

Thank you! I've been trying to track down that bug, but unfortunately the bugfix period ended!

The opening was so cute! I love the art and music! I def got scammed too much.  Very fun, very good.  The ONLY improvement I'd suggest is: Please anchor your text. Text that appears character by character shouldn't shift the whole textbox to the left. it makes it very hard to read until its done typing.

The customers with a 1 on their shirt lies to you about the order =D

Very chill, very relaxing and decently smart AI. This is an amazing implementation of a very simple idea and it feels cozy.  It's hard to find something to improve upon, you have a good amount of feeback in your UI and a very cohesive  style, but I guess you could lean into the UI feedback even more. Text that moves in with your character for example, or more stylized text boxes. Maybe some more character personality? Make them more characters rather than difficulty levels.  There really isn't much to imropove on, this is fantastic.

This was great! Especially since you did everything yourself, loved the concept! I did wish the chaser mask and the target mask looked a bit more distinct. I got confused once or twice on which was which.

Congratulations on your first jam game. Everyone who submitted, ESPECIALLY first timers should be proud they finished something. It's an important step, but you submitted something beautiful. You have amazing art and story, something that not anyone can replicate.  It's a rough market for visual novel style games but you did well, especially for your first time.

The visual style is insane! this was the most frustrating blackjack experience ever, loved it.  I think it would be good to mention to the player that a round doesn't end till you play all your cards/

I was not expecting a BS simulator this jam, but maybe that's on me. Great implementation, loved the art, music, amazing!

Great style, Great gameplay, HILARIOUS dialogue. Loved it! will come back to play more after jam for sure. My one critique is that the difficulty ramps up FAST

Very challenging and fun game! It's way beyond my skill level but I loved the jumping mechanics.

This game really captured the feeling of trick or treating as a kid. The art is ADORABLE. Loved it!

Love the menu, love the noir aesthetic. I'm not smart enough to solve the mystery but I did try a couple of runs!  My main suggestion is to anchor your text to one side, it's quite difficult to read when it keeps moving after every new character appears. Great job!

The people stuck on your lance is an amazing way to do a health bar! I could never get the lance to point where I wanted it to though, so it felt a bit random.
