You mentioned that "The primary challenge of this game was to create a satisfying aesthetic experience with a fairly limited mechanic." I feel the sound effect makes the game soooo enjoyable to play. It makes me feel that I'm interacting with the story instead of just reading and making choices. Besides sound effects, you can probably show images of key objects when players click on some words to improve the gaming experience.

It's awesome to see how you minimize the original idea to the messy lab. Such a good choice! Besides distance learning, I also think that the safety of chemical experiments can be another aspect of need.  People need to follow the rules in the lab, especially for students who start learning chemistry. Making sure that students are well prepared is a problem to consider before allowing them to enter the lab. Students can practice their skills with your game. Also, I always want to try a lot in the lab from my own experience, but due to safety reasons and each class's learning goal, I did not have a chance to try anything that not in the textbook. Free exploring space is a good solution for this!

Hi Spreeha,

Thank you so much for your response! You pointed out one of my concerns.  Yes, going out to get resources option will cause less trash to be made and make the second half easier to play. I'm not sure that whether I should let players explore this by themselves or not. I considered that I should let players know the consequence of making specific decisions by showing them text (+5 food point, +2 trash point. etc) after each option. I can also add trash to the apartment when players make decisions that can cause more trash so that players can see the consequence visually.
