Hi All, this is the latest update for my mobile game, The Castle. It's a mix of an adventure game with a focus on combat and soulslike pacing.
The game is inspired by games like Hyper Light Drift and Dark Soul, with a Shadow of the Collusus vibe.
Well, the main features are really the challenging combat, and the need to study enemies and spatial combat.
Many of the game's settings come from inspirations from Ico Team Games (they are the best). But the story itself is more focused on other myths of ancient civilization.
The game has a well-thought-out look and a minimalist pixel art style. Its a pixel art, with characters rendered from 3d models into pixelated sprites. Im was really thinking about that indie minimalistic look.
Alot of my desire to make it was when i got the chance to play gba zelda in my phone, and got that feeling of a portable adventure. I really wanted to make something that feelt like a portable dark souls, Just like you could take your gameboy and have some soulslike experience right from your pocket, that why its a mobile game, but maybe in the future i got the chance to update for Pc.
