Yeah in the editor and download version the timing is perfect but on itch the timing is off by quite a bit, I'm not sure what causes this.

I wish I could have made the inputs timed to the music but I've never made a rhythm game before and didn't want to try doing it and running out of time.

Thank you for the feedback :3

(1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback, I had the cursor disabled during the level and really should of enabled it on the menus. Also the button that is currently selected is the darker one which is really confusing and I didn't realise my mistake until after the jam ended.

edit: the reason the UI clips of the screen is due to the way itch loads unity projects, there should be a blue full screen button at the bottom right which will expand the space to show the covered UI.

Ahh, makes sense.

Simple but fun gameplay loop, cute art and great music/sound effects. The only issue I had was the player character would often face in the wrong direction when walking left or right.

Very cute and enjoyable, my only problem was that I was constantly losing track of the mouse cursor.

For how simple this is it might be the game I've had the fun playing so far, the use of the countdown theme is really fun and the simple art looks great.

Fun idea but the camera was a little janky as every time I charged up a jump the camera would continue to move an the player would temporary disappear off the screen, the protag's design is cute.

Love the artwork, the UI was a bit confusing at times as it wasn't always clear how many actions I had left.

The concept sound so fun and unique, hope that you continue to work on it after the jam is over.

Oh okay, I didn't realise my mistake.

Love the twist of having to get rid of your investment in stocks in order to bankrupt yourself >:3

Loved the atmosphere of this one, through the countdown is kind of generic. I also found a bug where once you've equipped three augmentations, clicking on an unequipped augmentation will temporary increase your augmentation slots, allowing you to equip more than three augmentations.

Had fun but doesn't really incorporate the theme at all, plus the difficulty didn't seem to scale over time, loved the Cult of Lamb looking artwork.

Good idea, would be nice if the car accelerated if you continuously move though.

The camera wasn't intended to work the way it does, it broke when I uploaded the project to itch and I didn't have time to fix it.

Fun but the difficulty balancing is off as the word puzzle is much harder than the colour puzzle and the rotation puzzle is much harder than both of then making getting a high score more about getting a round with as many colour puzzles as possible.

Yeah the camera worked perfectly fine in the editor and was originally much more zoomed in and followed the player, but once I uploaded the project to itch the camera kinda broke and stopped following the player so I had to make it much more zoomed out.

Had a fun time playing but managing to hit the zombies with the bombs them taking a while to detonate and how unpredictable the zombies movement is.

Love the twist on the pellets being mana, would be nice to be able to bind the spells to the left, middle and right mouse buttons as having to use keys on the keyboard is a little annoying.

Fun and polished but a bit of a stretch to call it a Pac-Man like.

Good game, be nice if the camera moved smoothly instead of jumping between positions though.

In this room there is a path in the top right corner with a different coloured tile beneath it go through there to get the bombs, using them you can blow up certain objects with cracks in to proceed down new paths.

Hi, I realise that this game is way more confusing than I thought and that the game makes no attempts to clarify anything to the player, so I'll do it here instead.

  1. The rooms aren't randomised but instead take you on a set path which you have to try to break free from.
  2. The bombs will be place in front of you in the direction you're facing, you can't hold them but can push them by walking into them, if you're too close to a wall the bomb won't place, they is also no limit to the bombs you can place, as soon as the current one explodes you can place the next one.

Thank you for all the feedback below, and I'll try to improve next time :3

The game purposefully takes you on a set linear path, you're supposed to try and find a way to break from that path, probably should have clarified that better in the game itself.

Didn't really think about mobile controls I might try and implement them at some point although its not something I've done before.

Thanks for the feedback I'll try to make it immediately responsive after wall jumping.

Nice, I replayed it and had a lot more fun this time.

Ha! should have read the instructions properly.

Could be fun, but right now there isn't much strategy to it aside the only option you have at the beginning is to tank the enemy hits and hope that you can get by the wave having a dash, a roll or even a simple run button would make you able to attack the enemy and dodge out of the way before they can hit you back making combat a lot more fluid. Furthermore it is hard to tell when you take damage as the only current indicator is your health depleting, some screen shake of particle effects would make getting hit a lot clearer. I loop forward to playing an improved version.

Definitely one of my favourites from the jam so far, the audio was very quiet though I had It on full volume and I could still barely hear it.

I just want to bring to everyone's attention that there is a bug that causes there to be a 1/5 chance that the boss at the end does not spawn. I have fixed it know and the fixed version will be uploaded once the jam is over. I apologise if this happens to you.

Thanks for letting me know I'll take a look at it and upload a fixed version once the jam is over

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking of making a more fleshed out version with more attacks that cause status effects and passive options to add to your loop.

Fun game, the "In other news" sections were often more interesting than actually performing a useful spell.

Fun but respawning after you die takes a while since you are sent back to the menu and have to rewatch the cutscene but otherwise cool gameplay.

Thanks, I was planning to add SFX and background music but ran out of time and had other more essential things I had to add to the game.

Really Fun. I've played a lot of games in the jam with the a clone is spawned next loop but this is the most creative and enjoyable example.

Fun Game with great artwork however my enjoyment with it was massively disturbed by the fact that it was constantly lagging.
